What did you learn this year (2008)?

learn - to come to realize Well.. I've come to realize that I've passed the summit of the big hill; it's all downhill from here and I don't plan on using the brakes. :exclamation: My 'bucket list " of places to ride to is still a long one. B) Kasey

    Modular Helmet

I'm on my third Nolan 'cause it fits me the best and isn't too heavy. Yes its noisy.. but I can manage it by moving the windshield and cranking my I-Pod. Kasey

MM2's tune is a hard act to follow so I've sung another chorus. Kasey ... a member of your Canadian Fan Club.

    Dunlop Road Smarts -HOLY CHRIST!!!

Oh Fudge! This is certainly distressing news (tire-changing probs aside as I have to pay someone else to do it) - I bought the RoadSmarts strictly based on the info gleaned from the Forum when I was looking to replace the BT-021's - which were not exactly satisfactory what with changing out two...

    CFR 2009

Hey Mike - "might just" will absolutely not do, eh? Ink it in and and get yourself up here. Oh and can you persuade Rogdeb, the Highlanders, the Pegscrapers et al to follow you? We're not getting any younger you know. :exhappysmiley: Kasey

How do you stock seat guys do it?

The stock seat on my '03 was a royal pain in the a$$ the first few months. I tried everything I could think of; beaded seat, sheepskin and even a modified gel bicycle seat that first season but I couldn't find relief. I was beginning to regret my FJR purchase when I read H. Marc's write up with...

    Conversation with Ted Bishop

One of my favorite books as well and I enjoyed your posting very much. I envy Ted's and your talent for using all the right words in describing the things I also feel or experience while riding. Thank you. Kasey

    Old Michael On The Road

Great job Don. No point in a Flight Plan over lower AB, really, 'cause like it or not they'll be blown East. :omg2: Good gas mileage, tho'. Kasey

    Anyone tried risers from D & D

Ditto for me too - I put the D&D's on my '03 when it was new and am a very satisfied customer. Kasey

    Toad Rock Campground

Yes! It's my favorite place to camp. The fabulous Kootenay area roads and scenery are a big draw for motorcyclists but it's the Host team of "Mother" Mary and Steve that make the place extra special. Kasey

Do people ask you what your bike is??

I've had a steady stream of "is it a BMW?" re my '03 as FJR's weren't ...aren't...as common in W. Canada as in the U.S. I saw a pic once in which an FJR owner had made up his own logo sticker for his bike; Bemaha - so it must be a common mistake. The second most-asked question would be "Can you...

BC Ride plus S. Alta, Montana, Idaho & Wash

As a recently transplanted BC-er I spend a great deal of the summer romping over my favorite pavement - the same roads you took on your holiday. Thanks for the great pics! and for the huge grin at viewing them. Kasey

Planning a ride from Oregon, along the coast to Vcr Island

You're talking about riding through my favorite and often-travelled B.C. areas. I should check in here more often. I live an hour from Pincher Creek so could have treated you to lunch. Looking forward to the pics. Kasey (I think the Kootenays would be the perfect location for a Can. WFO.)
