    Prayers for my Deb

I'll be saying daily Prayers for Deb and the family. Many women in my circle of friends have successfully beaten the odds: my Mom was diagnosed at age 41, took treatment and lived to be 78. My thoughts are with at this difficult time. Kasey

    WFO...Utah........... the preview pic thread.............

Hi there MM - I'll sure miss seeing the 'old gang' this year - Denver might be possible next year, tho'. I'll be sure to step up knittin' cardigans so I can afford to be there. I still anticipate a Can. WFO held in the Kootenay region of BC. some year - a rider from Wales I met on...

    WFO...Utah........... the preview pic thread.............

TWN your vid is superbly done with seamless integration of pics and music - a joy to watch. Thanks. Nice thread Highlander - all the pics posted here really get my motor runnin' for my Dakotas/Utah ride in July. I recognized Hwy 12 as the Boulder-Escalante razorback ridge that I've been talking...

Motorcycle Consumer News is going to poll FJR owners next month

MCN published my letter requesting an FJR Owners Survey in the Feb. '05 issue so I'm happy to see they're giving it some space next month. The Survey will be a great place to air your experiences and comments, beefs and bouquets. IMHO I believe that MCN carries a lot of clout with manufacturers...

    Guinness Record: Most FJR's?

None yet - the record is for 206 Yamaha TDM's. I agree with the idea of putting this off until next year's National. Having attended the past three WFO's I know how hard it is to organize the mass photo shoot, for eg., what with everything that's going on. Kasey

    Guinness Record: Most FJR's?

To get back on topic - my original post reads that the numbers apply to one model only and the record would be set for the MOST, ie: FJR'S IN A PARADE - not just parked in a group. ('scuse me for shouting but you boys are a handful.) :glare: Kasey

    Guinness Record: Most FJR's?

I pulled this info from the local Yamaha Star message board: Think we could break the record with the gathering of FJR's at WFO-5? :yahoo: Kasey

    CFR Discussion Kickoff

I would be ecstatic if it were a month earlier. As it stands now I won't commit until my riding plans are firmed up; Utah, the Dakotas and whatever else strikes my fancy enroute to Nova Scotia...and if it ever stops raining there - NFLD. I'll be following the thread regularly so don't count me...

What trips are you planning for 2007?

Jan-Feb - ride the Baja on my KLR with a traveling companion. June - ? do the coast-to-coast US/Canada that I've been promising myself for six years. Three of us did it in '00 utilizing US 20 from Newport, Ore to Boston and the Trans-Canada but this time I'd like to stop and smell the roses in...

    Buzzy Bars - Can't Fix

It vibed pre-encounter and a TBS would smooth it right out; as I said the current bad vibes are fairly new and much more severe. As a matter of fact the left fork was just replaced July 6th; it may be coincidental or not but at the same time the tech discovered my front tire wasn't 'true' when...

Thanks Mike, I'd forgotten to factor in the valve repair. I would appreciate more info so chime away someone out there. Kasey

    Buzzy Bars - Can't Fix

Normally for my bike a buzz in the bars signals the timing for a TBS - which on my '03 occurs approx. every 15K km. and then it smooths out beautifully. However, Mr. WC did the TBS at Reno and it was spot-on. I've had this bike since new and the buzz has never been so bad. It occurs within...

FJREH was rearended !!!! by a bike no less!!!

Mark - sooo sorry to hear about the accident and the wreck of your '04. On the upside it could have been much worse injury-wise and I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt. Be in touch when you get back and let me know how its going. Mark, Rocketdoc, Dwavey and I rode down to Reno together and Mark...

    Female riders

What he says. My '03 requires a TBS at the very least every 15K km. I added D&D bar risers and bar end weights shortly after purchasing the bike and while they did alleviate some of the wrist burn, the first TBS was like a miracle and smoothed things out dramatically. Don't give up yet, Maggie...

Proper procedure for pillion mount and dismount on FJR

That's exactly the drill I was going to post; I use it for my inseam-challenged best friend and my daughter as well. For a taller, heavier, passenger I get on first with the sidestand down; they slide on and with their feet on the ground we're well-balanced when I shift the bike and lift the...

    Female riders

Maggie don't take Mike's comments seriously - the only kind of trouble I get into is trying to find my keys. PM me and we'll see if we can arrange a meeting; maybe you and hubby would like to hook up with the Can. riders for a few hours as we make our way to Reno. Kasey
