Dr. said stay off the FJR (&%$#

Hey Zorkler, I too, am sorry about your situation. They say time heals all, but I know for sure letting yourself get back on the motorcycle is good therapy. You just can't rush the process. I haven't been able to ride for a month now due to an injury resulting in excruciating pain in my right...

    EOM - Thanks

It really was big fun. I especially liked seeing all the FJR's together at the INN. I was unable to ride any this weekend due to a back injury so we came in the wife's car to take photos and visit with everyone. My only regret is that I didn't get time to see if any of the 06 owners would let...

    when to switch to synthetic

Hey! That's almost exactly what I said. :P I'm just a Technician ...not a Doctor! I love oil! :clapping: Synthetic oil make my bike faster! :yahoo: I also love pie! RB

    when to switch to synthetic

The best thing about using Synthetic oil in your bike is that if you put 500,000 miles on it when you tear it down for a rebuild you won't get your hands dirty, but then again you may not have to tear it down so soon! First oil change, 90 miles. I switched to fully synthetic Mobil MX4T at 500...

    Diabetes

Thanks again everybody! I just got back from my first checkup and the Doctor says my glucose numbers look good this past week. :yahoo: I am not to a point where I need insulin. My Pancreas is still functioning, just needs an oral stimulant to boost it's production, so it's even more...

    disappointment at the Dragon

Thanks or the link, not much has changed in the procedure to 06. So much for my theory. I was wishing for a way to unscramble the mystery behind adjusting the Co% on my FZ1 but looks like a PCIII or other controller will be in my future. Ya think it would be a good time to trade up to an 07...

    disappointment at the Dragon

Well, that's good new about the mod being available. I guess I'd have known that if I spent a little more time here. I'd love to have a link to the instructions for the 06 FJR. Maybe I could see if the FJR's new ECU is even remotely similar to the FZ1's. Although I doubt I'll be the first one to...

    disappointment at the Dragon

My 2 cents, and it's just a theory, or more of an half educated guess about the jerkiness with the new FJR's drive line and throttle response. All previous years had Mitsubishi EFI and it must have worked pretty well according to nearly all reports or lack thereof concerning the ease of...

    Diabetes

Thanks again guys, for all the support. I actually rode the FZ about 60 miles yesterday for the first time in several weeks. Full gear, it was a little warm here , but it still felt so good to play again for a while. The muscles under my right shoulder blade were a little uncomfortable but the...

    ST1300 owners site a little ummmm...cheesy?

Shoot! I thought this was the latest ST1300 bashing thread. Not poking fun at the fat bikers. That was over on the Harley thread! :P RB

    ST1300 owners site a little ummmm...cheesy?

I spent a lot of time on an 04 ST1300 last year but found it much less exciting than the FJR's. My biggest problem was with it's weight especially around town and stop and go traffic. It was just too tall and top heavy to be enjoyable and not nearly sporty enough for my liking, ...you might even...
