The first time I rode up to that area (from Phoenix in 1976) and camped the whole time was an awesome experience. Didnt go during the rally time so not near as crowded anywhere in the area. I've been back a few times and still enjoy the Black Hills general area.

Had my Wife (mistake 1) hold the bike while I reached for the front stand, next thing was hearing the bike hit the garage floor on its right side & plastic breaking. Front turn signal lense broke & scratches to main fairing. Nothing lasts forever, eh ? Replaced front signal lenses with light...

Pretty awesome for a pushrod motor . . . Too bad there are so many OHC bikes around that run circles around it for less than $20k with a warranty. Makes pushrod motors look like not much performance when just looking at numbers.

Should have the FuzeBlock monday & can wire in the gps, radar, & Scottoiler. Already using the Helibars & heated jacket/gloves. Wish I knew what windshield works the best . . . Out of money until after the Holidays & then seat & saddlebags.

Haven't heard of a vegas trip . . . Vegas is much closer than the round trip to Lake Havasu ! I can't wait to do the upgrade on seat etc so I can stand a bit more distance.
