Just having gotten home from the road, I was in no hurry to ride my first weekend back...
Butt... getting a chance to ride with a top shelf rider (And Friend) was just too tempting.
I started the ride a little after 2 am Sunday. As I pulled into the Miami motel for a meet-up, Greg appeared in my rearview mirror from fueling.
Some conversation followed and as soon as I recovered from my initial "Gen 2 Traitor" thoughts, we were on our way south.
Skooter wondering what the heck is he doing in the wrong lane?

The moon was on its high beam and the weather was as close to perfect as it could be. The ride was sweet and all the past rides to the Keys
were rolling through my thoughts. This ride was my first ride to Key West with another rider. As we approached the 7 mile bridge, we pulled into a
convenient store for a pause to try and set up for a sunrise crossing. Turned out the sun was too far north for the sights that I had hoped for. Still it was
a nice ride into Key West as we made our early morning arrival.
Headed south
We got the mandatory photos and headed to Duval Street. The place seemed relatively abandoned as we caught Cuban subs at a sidewalk shop.
As the day began to wear on, I think the hangovers began to wear off. Soon the sidewalks were crowded and the heat was turning up. Spent the day
picking Greg's brain for advice on an upcoming ride. He tolerated my endless talk and questioning and I enjoyed the conversations and refreshments.
Only direction from here is up!
We departed with some shoreline sites. The Keys then took on their usual form offering a bumper to bumper northern crawl. We popped into a quaint eating
establishment in Marathon that Greg spotted called "Porky's Bayside". I had never been there and it turned out to be a good stop. Reluctantly we ventured back
north again with the heat and the stop and start traffic in what could best be described as the "2 whiny ******* ride".
Hunger calls
2 whiny ******* ride
On a good note:
I returned back to West Palm with the same tank of gas that I had departed with... 479.7 miles / 50.1 miles into reserve
BUTT more important - Good memories !
Thanks Greg
