    Considering a canyon play bike

Thanks Fred, you make some very good points. I think the Triumph is off the list, for the reasons you mention - I was dazzled by the bright yellow. Hoping to make it to Tacoma this weekend, then look at the VFR on the way home. I'm actually surprised it is still for sale. Al.

    Considering a canyon play bike

Thank you - nice!. However, I want to stick with a BC registered bike with a decent dealer network.

Who makes this luggage rack for an FJR?

If you don't buy extrememarine's, Premier still sells a modified version of that rack. https://www.pca-one.com/productDetail.asp?productID=7771&RetURL=search&search=&bikeType=&bikeMake=&bikeModel=&bikeYear=&MfgCode=PCA

    Considering a canyon play bike

Thanks Steve. I didn't know that. Thanks Greg, a bit out of my price range. Hey wait a minute, do you now have a hidden agenda?

    Considering a canyon play bike

For some time now I've been considering getting a stablemate for the FJR. Something a bit lighter and more nimble (to compensate for me becoming heavier and less nimble). I've been keeping an eye on these two: a 1999 VFR 800...

    2006 Stalling Issue

Had a similar issue with my Gen 1 last year. While riding in pouring rain, the bike stalled as I was making a turn at a stop sign. Managed to re-start it and got home by keeping the revs high - it wouldn't idle. Next day it refused to start, no codes etc. Pulled the tank and checked all...

There More To Life Than Riding

Must get down there again. Last time I was there it was just a paddle-wheeler, a couple of old casinos, a hotel and a few outlet stores. Can't remember if the roads were paved?

RIP my friend. Another tragic loss.

Sorry to hear of your friend's passing. Just read the story. Can't understand how the SUV driver didn't/couldn't see him or simply misjudged the motorcycle's speed. A tragic loss.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Finally got around to doing something about my rear brake pedal. A slow speed drop on gravel, a couple of months ago, led to my pedal 'pad' snapping off. As I rarely use the rear brake, I was in no rush to replace it. However, a buddy saw it the other day and suggested I attach a folding...

    Rooster's turbo Kawasaki - 2-stroke?

Good point, sorry about that. Tyrel has a copy of the mag, I'll see if I can scan it sometime - or is that a copyright infringement?

    Rooster's turbo Kawasaki - 2-stroke?

Rooster's is a specialty dirt bike shop in Kamloops - right next door to Mt. Paul Barbers. https://roostersoffroad.com/ Yesterday I was headed to the barbers, when I noticed a strange looking bike sitting on Rooster's showroom floor. What? A turbo two stroke? The shop owner, Tyrel, was happy...

    2007 Problem Upshifting

@ HelzBelz IMHO. In your case, I'd bet just doing #2 & #3 will fix your problem. Lots of info on this site on clutch fluid flush and bleed. Servicing the shifter pivots is not hard and should make a big difference. @ FJR-Pilot No explanation for 'miracle cure'. Maybe there was something...

    Kootenay Gut Buster

Just returned from the Kootenay region of BC, after attending The Kootenay Butt Buster aka WCR2. Headed out from near Nelson, BC, then took the Kootenay Lake ferry. It was a short ride from the ferry terminal to beautiful, downtown, Crawford Bay. With it's bustling shopping, light...
