I have the first gen tire changer with mojo blocks and things don't line up perfectly, but good enough to get the small diameter rod down through the bearings. I really don't know what the new version requires. I've never used the big, overhead arm thing.

I hope you purchased the mojo blocks and mojolever (https://www.mojotiretools.com/mojoweb.htm). It makes the job much easier and scratch free. I also use a couple cam lock cargo straps through the wheel spokes to keep things from rotating without having to crank down on the rim.

5 year old battery in a cold climate, my guess is battery. However, starter and selenoid are also suspect. I was in the same boat this past winter and changed the starter because I had that area opened up anyway, plus my starter hade 125,00 miles on it. Made no difference. I could have put...

Mine has always been fused at 5 amps. Even when my original pump failed it didn't blow the fuse, just stopped moving fuel. That was a generic, metal case pump. I'm now running a bit higher performing K&N pump, with no issues.

I really doubt you'll get a whole "herd" of riders anyway, riders drop out the closer the event gets...but I'm still in. :)

Similar to how mine is set up. My timer is postage stamp size and programmable. My pump runs through a relay that is only hot when the bike is running.

I guess I'm an immature dimwit, because the add didn't bother me. In fact, I didn't give it a second thought.

It's on my bucket list, so I'm interested, but I can't commit yet. I'd like to do it on the FJR, but I've also seriously been considering doing it on the Ural. I'd have to trailer the Ural out to Washington though.
