    Sena 20s Day

Yesterday was Sena 20s day. My buddy Dennis-Denny Gass, managed to score a pair of these hard-to-get Bluetooth intercoms last Friday. I started the sorting-out & install process. Got it pretty well figured out & mostly installed on the helmet. (Am washing the removable pads to freshen them up &...

    Sena SMH10 Firmware 5.0 - Universal Intercom

Just found out the trick to using the Cardo Scala Rider G9 with the Sena SMH10 & new firmware. The Sena firmware allows the G9 to see it and treat it like a Cel phone. Here is how to set it up: 1. Turn on both units so they are in standby mode (should be a slow flashing blue for both. 2. Hold...

    Sena SMH10 Firmware 5.0 - Universal Intercom

Does anyone in the FJR group have success pairing & using their Sena SMH10 with latest firmware with a Cardo G9? Have tried pairing my G9 with two different Sena users (on channel A or so far with no success. What's the trick to pairing? Once paired, how do you connect? Do you use channel A or...

    Posting Photos before 2022

You can post all the pictures you want on this forum. You just have to host 'em somewhere else. When I finish the mods on my bike, I'm going to create some web pages of them and post a link on this site.

    2014 Moonshine Lunch Run

This year's Moonshine had unusually nice weather (except for the wind in the afternoon). That made for a huge crowd, but unfortunately the Sport-Touring and LD riders were pushed aside by thousands of cruisers/posers. Congrats to Allen_C and the others who did their SS1K rides in conjunction...

    New Garmin Zumo... 590LM

Have used Waze for over a year. Sometimes very useful, somtimes not (rural areas, off-interstate). Saved my bacon a number of times, both on traffic tie-ups & speed traps. Not a cure-all. I'm on AT&T data and coverage is very spotty, but Waze can show an up-to-date detailed map even when I'm...

Gen2/3 Subframe Stiffy Kit by Garauld

    1. Re wood blocks: There is a sticker on my rear fender that says something about a max load for tools etc on it is something like 2 pounds, so the fender cannot support any weight. (Have to look at the label to be sure of the weight limit.) Besides, the fender is supported by the subframe, not...

    GIVI Tanklock bag

I tried to get a Givi tank-lock bag for two months & the one I wanted was always on backorder. Wound up getting the SW-Motech Bags-Connection bag shown in another poster's pictures in this thread. It was pricey, but it's perfect in every respect & works with my MV risers. The tank ring of the...

    I'm done with FJRForum mods

Am pretty new here. Haven't been NEPRT'd yet- must just be lucky so far. I try really hard to search for existing info on things I'm interested in, but hardly ever get anything useful from a search. Have found that the search tool sucks- have tried to find a previously read thread I know the...

Gen2/3 Subframe Stiffy Kit by Garauld

Got the stiffy bracket & installed it a couple of months ago. Last week finished the adapter plate for my Honda Pan-european trunk from my ST1300 & got it installed. Solid as a ROCK. Stiffy bracket is one of the best investments for my new bike!

    Rapid City MSTA anyone?

You have to be a member to participate at MSTA events, but registration at most of them is only $15 - $25, mostly depending on whether a dinner is included. If it's your first event, you get a year's free membership as part of signup. Financially MSTA is a great deal if you attend one or more of...

    2014 Moonshine Run- Casey Illinois

Agreed, but if you don't get there early it may be a very long walk from your parking spot on the narrow road to the Moonshine store. I like getting there about 11am and relaxing and watching the crowd roll in. When it's time to go, it's a short walk to the bike...

    2014 Moonshine Run- Casey Illinois

Planning to go. It's about 500mi round trip for me. Planning to arrive early, park close & beat most of the crowd.

    Rapid City MSTA anyone?

MSTA has been around since the early 80s. It's an all-brands sport-touring club with about 1800 members. They are best known for their regional rallies which feature group rates on the host hotel, inexpensive registration, excellent suggested backroad/twisty routes in both map & gps file...

    ES electrical issue

Power to the horn relay contacts should come from an independent fused line from the battery. The original horn wires should only be used for powering the relay coil. If the fuse identified by other posters does not appear to be blown, check it with an ohmmeter- it may be a defective fuse.
