How many people have met other FJR riders in person?

This is my first and only forum experience, and have met some great like minded people to ride with. Looking forward to EOM.

Middle of the road($) Flip face helmet options...

Never heard of the Caberg, good writeup on the link though, along with KD's experience make it worth trying on sometime. One of the main factors in buying my Nolan N102 was the steel locking mechanism for the flip portion, when MCN tested modulars a couple years ago tthe N102 was the only one...

    Avon Storm have soft underbellies

What a bad looking fish! Looks South American, but what is it? Sorry for hijack, looks like I better not count on the storms to last the year.

Hot gas doesn't go quite as far

Interesting read, those cubic inches add up over time. Edit: Just read jestals reply, and he is correct about the visible fumes being B/S, (gas is volatile to 45 below). But the underground temps here in the south are 72 degrees average.

06 Legs getting hot & Temp guage high

Diane I have found the heat on the shins as well, as Iggy said, its better there than on the torso. Heavy ankle high boots and silver riding pants velcroed around them (with shorts underneath) seem my best solution. The fans should kick on at 7 bars, in heavy traffic they will get to 8 with...

Nelson Rigg Tankbag Installation: Photo Link

Nice installation, you might want to add some rubber mesh shelf liner underneath.

Givi trunk & 2006 color match

If you want to go with the large givi, the E52B508 is matched to the Suzuki Burgman blue. Very close to FJR "06 blue. I like my set up with OHFJR's rack.

Denver passes noise ordinance affecting bikers

Daytona does have a decibel based local ordinance, 100db IIRC. Rarely and selectively enforced though. Power regulation is a whole new can of worms that the AMA should fight tooth and nail.

    New 07 FJR1300 this weekend

We are fairly new to riding, but I want to get as much instruction from professional instructors, early on in our riding to make us safer riders. Great idea! You'll need your skills in that Danbury traffic! Welcome and enjoy.

Ditto that, it was worth the wait(6', 230 lb). Although I have swithched back to stock for extra flow in the summer heat.

    Cruise Control

https://www.fjr1300.info/howto/audiovox.html Here is the official version. Smitty drills the throttle and leaves very little slack in the chain for quick response. Search audiovox cruise control install and you will find it all with good pictures.

    Mother's Day Ride '07

Thanks for that, haven't been there in a few years, and not on two wheels. Looked like nice sunshine for your day out. That hurricane road sounds like a hoot. Enjoy the spring!

    Cal-Sci vs. Vstream Comparo

Have had the V for a few hundred miles and love it! At 6 ft. tall it gives good air flow to upper chest when down and a quiet pocket at 3/4 - full raised. Will be much better for longer distances.
