Anybody trading in a 08 with 88k miles for 7500 got a great deal. A bike like that one even on the forum would take a long time to sell and probably fetch less than 6000

All depends on the mods. I'd rather by the bike with 3-4k worth of extras on it. For a bone stock 08 with 2400 miles assuming regular maintance/brakes flushes/oil changes etc and flawless condition I'd expect to pay around 6800-7200

At least in IL the used bike is an additional $1400 off, because we only pay $25 sales tax on any bike once its "used". Buying a new bike means at least $1400 in taxes. Not sure how many other states are like that.

That location works great. Tucked in, in case you tipover, nice and tall which gives great visability and best light thrown, very solid and it only requires $1 worth of bolts and locknuts. I'm glad he decided to add those holes in.
