Anybody trading in a 08 with 88k miles for 7500 got a great deal. A bike like that one even on the forum would take a long time to sell and probably fetch less than 6000

if this helps you out..I traded my 2008 FJR with 88,000 miles on it, remaining YES warranty till Oct 2013...got $7500.00 on Jan 12, 2013. I traded against the 2013 FJR.
I was told by a dealer that my 08 with less than 8,000 miles books for about $8,500......so you got a screamin deal on the trade, I bet they didn't budge much on the other end of the deal on the 13.

Gen 2? $1.85 for an '08 IF the spider, ECU and Ignition switch recalls have been done. Dollar fifty if NOT done.
You guys crack me up.

Why so much smack talk about the 3 gens?

Most manufacturers improve a model as the years go by.

BTW......what about the ticking, heat issues and cam chain tensioner issues of the pre 08's??

It's actually the 03-05's that have those issues. Just clarifying for future members reading

price for '13 was $15,200, less trade of $7500.00 , left me with $7700.00 purchase. After tax, title, etc, was a little over $8200.00 total difference. I went in that day not expecting to buy it, so I did not have any money or title from '08 with me. They trusted me to mail title to them, and I just had them put the $8200 charge on my Discover card. Ended up getting back $164.00 on cash back bonus from Discover. All was good in my world that day.
