IIRC Motorcyclist had pegged the '03 at just a hair over 11 seconds, so they're calling the AE roughly .8 seconds slower. Weight + higher gearing + slower shifting (the AE doesn't do clutchless upshifts)? Different rider? Same rider but older and slower? Rider had more to drink? Typo?

Put mine in the tool tray and got the bulkhead connectors. Mounted one in the fairing lower on the left and one in the tail section. Drilled a hole into the glove box and kept the MP3 player in there.

Sherri, we've got some peg extenders from Cycle-istic that move the pegs forward, down, and out (kinda like me, down and out). Kind of a drag 'cause they do, well before the driver's pegs, but they do allow more leg extension. Let me know if you want to try swaping pegs to check them out.

Still got the '05 but I did get to take an AE for a ride. I didn't notice a lack of power but I was shifting at same RPM/higher speed. I don't run the '05 at 55 in fifth but I think it would be a bit of a dog; I don't think of it as having much pull 'till maybe 80. Maybe the ST1300 has more...
