    Winter Storage RE: Fuel/Battery

That's a plausible explanation, just haven't seen any reports of corrosion occurring inside the crankcase except for old chainsaws or VWs stored for years on end behind some barn shed. I don't break down engines on a daily basis either but the few internals I've seen have been pristine.

    OR WA Lane Sharing Legistlation

Would these allow motorcyclists to filter to the front of a traffic light? Saw a pretty good "rear ender" coming home from office last week. Seems some people don't expect traffic to stop suddenly during rushhour.

    Help Needed for Electrics...

Sorry, I'm a bit far to help, but can you clarify what's needed by "connector clean"? Are you wanting to remove some farkles or are there a known problems with some of the connectors or spiders? Good luck with treatment and recovery!

    Winter Storage RE: Fuel/Battery

I understand that oil accumulates acidic particles from the combustion process, but what's the difference between the oil that becomes acidic over the summer when the vehicle is driven frequently? Does somehow "stirring" it periodically reduce its effect?

    Bosch 3323 oil filter

That right there is just crazy talk! Debating solutions to problems that don't exist are what we do here!

Upsizing Rear Tire to 190/55 (w/ pics)

No doubt there is some allowance for different wheel speeds due to turning, tire variance, etc, but the ECU only knows pulses/second it gets from each ABS sensor ring. I'd be curious to know if the two rings have different number of elements, thus normalizing the number of pulses received...

    Cabin Fever Relief

What is this "sun" thing you speak of? Actually, it was nice in Denver today and should be sunny and upper 50's throughout the weekend. Unfortunately the roads are still covered with salt/sand/mag-chlor and I don't think I will chance it just yet. No doubt there is lots of cabin fever...

    Bike Listing To The Right

Probably all bikes do the "negative acceleration" wobble. Search google and let me know which bikes you DON'T find a post about someone complaining about it. It must be a feature!

Rockies route suggest: Glacier Natl Pk down to Denver

Is this still the itinerary? Step 13, Co Springs to N Platte via RMNP is going to be a loooong day. RNMP is a great drive and I highly recommend it, but it's 35 MPH through the park and this will be peak season. Expect slower speeds due to lookey-loo's gawking at elk, moose, butterflies...

    Helmets

Fit is everything! Or at least has been my takeaway based on the article Ionbeam linked below. It's great to hear reviews from folks regarding quality and comfort anecdotes, but if the helmet doesn't fit ME the rest doesn't matter. It's unfortunate some folks buy the line "buy a $10 helmet if...

Torque spec for Gen2 front brake reservoir screws (be kind)?

Cheese indeed! I know a many have mounted gizmos to the master reservoir without problems, but a few have also stripped the threads doing so. Might consider using RAM ball in unused left mirror mount. (Photo compliments of Wfooshee)

    HD vs FJR

Yep, we have a NEPRT section for a reason. Say, isn't it time for BMW-bashing thread?

    HD vs FJR

Motorcycle Consumer News magazine reviewed the 2015 Road Glide in the recent issue. They also panned its transmission for being "loud, stiff and neutral can be elusive", but gave it points for excellent handling and responsive motor. It's wet weight is 839 lb, but it can still out-brake my '07...

    stator covers

I've picked up GenII stator cover from RonAyers.com. Once you find the part number, it's pretty easy to plug it into google and pick a supplier.
