Fred - I just graduated to Klim from Firstgear and Firstgear was a move up from Joe Rocket. I've always managed to "move up" by making out on great close out deals. It's taken a few years . . . but great gear is worth it.

I have the "silver" X50 8500 . . . the thing is super-sensative and has become ridiculously annoying as it give false alerts overtime I'm near a car with driver assist traffic detection. The silver version is a bit long in the tooth . . . IMHO . . . time to upgrade.
