I tried to clean and grease the old one last year, but no love. It was still ****. So I'm sure you will have to R&R, but grease the new one, and maybe it lasts longer. Don't know, but cant hurt.

Could be sticky shifter linkage, also I think going 6000-8000 miles on any oil is too long. It's not that the oil is braking down, but there is a lot of crap in it that you need to get out. Next oil change use a clean container, and when you dump the oil out, look at all the **** in the bottom...

You could do a "back door" approach. I suspect the one melted connector is the one that goes to ground. Ohm it and see if it is. If so then you can tap into each fan ground and run them to ground. This will not only take the fans direct to ground but will also turn the 2 fan wires in the S4 to...

When you're in the diag screen note what it reads with engine off, not cranking (atmosphere). Then note what it reads with engine running at idle (high vacuum). I'm a little rusty on units of measure so I don't know what it should be, but you should see the reading be very different as it should...

Well we had a small group today, but what a perfect day it was. Temps hovered around 70 all day, and NO more friggin rain:-) Tomorrow is suppose to be even better.
