    AL/GA Thursday group

Anyone planning on joining the AL/GA caravan to EOM have a radio for bike-to-bike? Mine isn't compatible with others (Kenwood TK-3200 series). I've got a single pin cable for Motorola/Cobra to Autocom that I used a long time ago, but the radios themselves got sold. Be nice if we had some...

Will I be laughed at if I trailer to EOM?

    100 bikes showing up... I'd say 30.

You should really think about Scab's offer -- that would be the EOM-approved way to get to, well, EOM. Your tires could be scrubbed in before you hit the GA state line. If not, I'll swap you bikes and scrub your tires in, 5 miles or less or the next tank of gas is on me. :)

Thanks be for Lee Parks/FJR accel

Thanks Steve, man I just didn't want to wad the bike before EOM. What a schmuck I'd look like pulling up on a goldwing! LOL! Sherman: no. I was not involved in the collision, and forced myself to just ride away. I wanted to go throw that stupid **** into traffic, but, jail would have made me...

Thanks be for Lee Parks/FJR accel

So, I'm sitting at a light this morning waiting to turn left in a protected lane. I'm sitting in first gear, holding the brake. I had been sitting for, oh, 45 seconds or a minute. Now, the rear of my bike lights up pretty good. In addition to the stock lights, I've got an E52 with AdMore's LED...

    Aged Tires

*always* check the (for you Budweiser fans) born-on date on the tires you buy. I hate the way the media sensationalizes things like this, but if it saves one person..... Buy PR2's for your bike. They can't be more than a year old! :)

    Interesting Article

Like you pay ANY attention to what the speedo says. :) The GT is just overpriced. I think it would get more love if they brought the price down. The Kawi is just too 'first model year' -- bags falling off, KIPASS issues...) I'd bet with the unwound throttle spring, the FJR would have gotten...

    Reflectors

If you ever plan on taking the bike out at night, leave the reflectors on. If you park it at sunset (for waxing, of course), the sidebag reflectors come off with a heatgun, and clean up with goo gone.

    The touring side of things...

A number of IBR/LD guys ride this bike (our own Iggy just won the SPANK rally a few days ago). Only a few have done track days with it. What more can you ask for? :) If you do cross country 2-up, get a Wingabago. The FJR doesn't hold a candle to the wing for that purpose. But, the wing isn't...

good or bad idea on throttle return spring

I hear you can put the bike on the centerstand, put it in reverse and take all those miles off.... ;) Just unwind the spring, or get a throttle lock, or both. A preview of the future of this thread, perhaps? --> Someone will be along shortly to debate the number of cycles it takes the...
