Anyone planning on joining the AL/GA caravan to EOM have a radio for bike-to-bike? Mine isn't compatible with others (Kenwood TK-3200 series). I've got a single pin cable for Motorola/Cobra to Autocom that I used a long time ago, but the radios themselves got sold.

Be nice if we had some bike-to-bike for gas stops, etc, etc.

Anyone?

I'm planning on doing something for 2 way, I open to suggestions? I have several radios I'm looking at purchasing a Starcomm.

I've got the least amount of range on a tank of gas. When you see a red streak leap from the rear to the front, stop for gas. (And do it quickly before I take the wrong exit an ride 20 miles in a direction that leads nowhere, least of all a gas station.)

Really, I have nothing and will have nothing this go-round. Funding will not permit. I am not even sure if it would be realistically feasible for me, since my wind-protection is minimal.

No radio for me either.

Let's set gps fuel mileage guage or odometer resets for near the maximum range of the bike with the shortest range.

This might be a good bladder range anyway!

That's probably Scab. I think average range on his FZ1 is around 140 miles. Jeez. Who's gonna do in-flight refueling for Scabby? ;)

Crap, I think I have the longest arms... Pull up here Scab, and I'll drop a couple gallons in!

I have 2 radios. havent used them in a while, I never did a hookup on the bike for them.

If use guys need a radio, I can supply it (well 2 any way)

Six, man, six! FZ-6! I'm usually pulling about 51 MPG on the slab. Less if we're spanking twisties. A safe, can be met at any time range: 180 miles. Slab range: 200 miles.

It might go a tad farther, but I've not pushed it.

Cool. 180 miles is a great max target range. I noted that some of the areas along our proposed routes are VERY rural. Gas stops near the 150 to 180 mile range will probably be a great idea. I confess to not being a good siphon guy right up front. I don't push either!

I think we'll enjoy more frequent stops later in the day anyway.

I'm looking at the one where goats and pigs replace the waypoint flags!. No criticism implied. I liked the route.

I think it is route 1 that turns east and has Highway 83 as the crookedest line between 2 points.

Looks like big fun!! :yahoo:

GF and my daughter will be caging their way along the slabs. So if you guys will share, perhaps I can rendezvous along the way up Thursday.

If we go with one of my routes, no. Jason and I agreed to stay off the slab for pretty much the whole trip up to Lewisburg. The plan is to get a nice early start.

Of course, what was I thinking. Right now, I'm looking at heading up from Marietta and going into NC. Shoot me a PM, we'll work something out for hooking up on Thursday morning.
