    Lowering Suspension Kit

Not tire wear, but you will drag hard parts sooner.

    Orange Threadlocker?

Huh! I can think of a couple places I could use that. Of course, I'll probably have to wait for the blue thread locker to fail. BUT, if it does, I'd definitely try this before going to red!

    Power port not working

No worries. You are absolutely NOT the first one and you won't be the last.

    Power port not working

Most likely a blown fuse. That line is only good for 3 amps. If you connected an air compressor to it, it probably WAS working but blew the fuse. The fuses are located near the battery under the same panel. Closer to your right leg. I'd start there. A TON of people have blown that fuse running...

    Bar end nut removal?

The Throttlemeister comes with a small "insert removal tool," which if I remember right can be replicated with a big washer and a bolt that is long enough to reach the insert. Thread it through the washer and into the insert's threads. Use a wrench to spin the bolt and pull the insert out.  It...

    What is this wire?

What the dipshit Skooter said above. That is your ambient air temp probe. Do not connect something to it. It freaks a lot of people out because it LOOKS like it should be connected to something when, in fact, it is how it should be for the life of the bike.

    Phantom Blue Matte Paint encounter

Has anyone tried F11 yet? They advertise that their stuff is awesome for matt paints and plastics. I don't know how true that is because I don't have anything with matt paint.

Garmin RansomWare hack - $10 Million

Ouch. That's entirely possible. That would be more along the line of criminal activity though by the employee. They would have had to have known what the link contained in order to exact their revenge. If there is any suspicion of that happening that person is about to have a microscope up their...

Garmin RansomWare hack - $10 Million

The ******* that clicked on that malware link should probably update his LinkedIn account. I'm betting they're looking for a job real soon!

    Concours or FJR

The small edge in power that the Concourse has is massively overridden by its size and weight. That bike is a pig and handles like it. It was riddled with problems, some of which have been fixed and others, I don't know. I have only ever seen a few Concourses on the road. The few I have seen on...

Like most bluetooth stereos I would assume you have a media button or setting and a bluetooth setting inside there. Those are for music input meaning if you set up your Kenwood so the music from your GPS is feeding your stereo, when directions interrupt the music, you will hear it. Otherwise, if...

    2005 FJR Question

There's a 2013 with just a hair more mileage than that 2005 for only $2800 more on the For Sale section.  That '05 is barely broken in and will run a long time. However, If it was me and I had the extra cash, I'd go for the '13.

Hello from Milwaukee~~I am in over my head and need help please!!

Huh...Because the standard percentage that EVERY FJR's speedo is off from the factory does not let that happen, not even with the 190/55s. You must have the one FJR from the factory that is different than all the rest. Cool!

Hello from Milwaukee~~I am in over my head and need help please!!

Do NOT, leave on a long trip with used tires on the bike. Many have tried and failed. Heat, speed, road surface, weight, tire compound, tire design and the phases of Jupiter put tire life all over the place. If you want to buy tires while on the road, do what you want. If you want to make a trip...

    Horn 12v+ trigger-2008: which wire?

How often do you use your horn? How often when you use your horn do you wish they would see you also. I see what you're saying but I think you're picturing the wrong thing in your head. I've honked at cars moving into my lane, or oncoming cars being across the line and in my lane. Lots of people...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Some say so, but I'm at what feels like the very end of my adjustment and am just barely at 1100 RPM. Glad it's not just me!

    Time to say goodbye

I rode Phil and Charlene's 2018 DCT while we were in Red Lodge. Maybe a 15 minute ride. Wow, what a bike. That walking feature is awesome. The bike was just this light nimble thing underneath me. It never felt like it was 800lbs. I was marveling to my wife about how much I liked that bike and my...

Since you had the ECU flashed, I'm assuming you are NOT running a Power Commander?

    Happy birthday Hotrodzilla!!

Dammed horse is fine. I got paranoid because we had taken him to the river two weeks ago. My daughter used him for senior pictures. He is behind on his West Nile vaccine that has Tetanus and a couple others sort of specific to this area. The next monday he had a cough and was lethargic. By...
