    NikWax Rocks!

Yep. If your machine has an ultra low setting for the spin cycle, I'd use that, too. If not, cancel the spin cycle altogether. Hey, when your wife won't go near the stank suits, what else ya gonna do?

    NikWax Rocks!

NikWax suggests you use the 'synthetic' settings on front loaders (that's what I have). On mine, that translates to; warm wash/cold rinse, ultra low spin. This applies to the wash and wash-in WP'er. In both cases, drip dry is recommended - NO HEAT. There are some brands out there that...

Noooooooo! You are shifting too high! It's gonna explode and you'll void your warranty! Recommended shift points per Gen I MOM: 1st to 2nd: 12.5 MPH 2nd to 3rd: 19 MPH 3rd to 4th: 25 MPH 4th to 5th: 31 MPH Remember: MOM knows best! :P

Need outside opinion on daughters riding freedom

She's under your rules until 18 (or whatever your house rules are). If she gives you ****, take her cell phone away. She'll straighten right up. ;)

I dunno. I've been through 3 Starcoms and one Soft-line and have known folks with just about every other mfg except Baehr. All have issues of some sort. At this point, I'm wonnerin' if a Dixie cup and string are not a better alternative. :dntknw:

    Dropped this top-heavy PITA today

Bah. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Try preventing a fully laden GL1800 from touching down on a slippery garage floor. Do that once and you will forever be aware of how to properly side or center-stand your bike.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Starcom. Look at the bright side... You don't own two of the things. <_<

    NikWax Rocks!

My Olympia AST and Olympia riding pants had lost their waterproofing and were quite grimy after NAFO, and needed to be A) burned or 2) cleaned. I chose option 2, as a new suit ain't in the cards anytime soon. I remembered reading the praises of NikWax over to ST.n (a forum member worked at NW...

    Extremely Tight Oil Drain Plug

Is one of ponyfool's kids working the assembly line at Yamaha? If you can't break it by a socket or hand wrench, are you sure you're turning it the right way? You are working on it upside down, don't forget (and you wouldn't be the first to get that backwards, either).

Well written, Hans. :good: However, in some cases, those who hold your career in their hands can't spell either. An even scarier scenario.

2007 FJR - Front Breaks "Chatter" During Hard Stops

Brake pads. Happens on my '05 non-ABS. I've grown to ignore it. In my case, I believe it's the CL pads. Thankfully, I'm on my last set and will be returning to the stockers when these croak.
