Thoughts on Premier sport touring rack

Here is a link to my post referring to the Admore lighting kit addition but you can get some idea of what it looks like from these pix. I am very happy with the setup https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...96&hl=ctfjr

    Trip To The Northeast

hmmm. . . maybe ride some / all of rt 100 in Vermont, my favorite in the whole state (have to include some of the country roads off 100). He can then come down through western mass (Berkshires) into western CT & ride some nice roads on & off rt 7 (341, 45 etc). If he ends up in CT on Sunday, a...

FJR first bike out of 6 I ever dropped!!

done that :angry2: had my son on the back many years ago on wing at Marcus Dairy. Went to leave, as I pulled out bike stalled but it was like slow motion as it went down with me trying unsuccessfuly to hold it up. Plenty of help to lift it back up :dribble:

    Time for a new jacket

+2 on all except haven't had the pleasure of testing it yet  The jacket (mesh) by itself without any liners is great warm/hot weather gear. In the past I've gone through many textile jackets & always found them wanting in warm weather - even the Joe Rocket mesh (I never felt it...

Warm weather coming - tar snake time

I share my experience with these wonderful gifts from DOT's in many states. A few years ago my son & I were riding through the badlands (South Dakota). I was stupidly taking in the scenery as we rode a wonderfully curvey section. Without realizing what was happening my front wheel started...

    motorcyclist struck by lightning

Been there, done that, scared sh*tless - twice. Once in the Rockies (think it was Colorado) came up over a rise to see a nasty black storm right ahead. Just had time to put on my rain gear when it started to lightning. Just hopped on & kept going but the damn lightning strikes were all around...

    Being cool and seen

Not All Mesh Which is why I finally sprung for a Cycleport Kevlar mesh jacket. I ridden in temps in the high 90's with no problems. Put in the waterproof liner (super compact to pack) and now you have a fully waterproof jacket. Add the insulated liner & I've ridden down to the mid 20's just...

I bow down before the Great Satan

Yes, that argument definately holds water but at what cost? Did you ever try to get customer assistance at a Walmart like you used to be able to at the local _____ (you fill in the blanks - TV / audio store, appliance store . . .) Some consumers lose out when they want (need) genuine advise on a...

I bow down before the Great Satan

What a lot of wishful thinking - actually sounds a lot like the company (Walmart) line when they are proposing to come into a new town. I ride a lot across the States and have seen a ton of small towns with their Walmarts & empty former local shops. Hey, I'd be the 1st to tell you that when I'm...

    First trip

Welcome Curtis! I have had mine for almost 11 months now. I flew from CT to Alabama to get mine then rode to St Louis (tnx again KM for helping me do the 600 mi service in your garage) for business & then home. I did one day's riding of 650 miles & I was convinced the seat had to go. In over 40...

    Back Seat Luggage

When traveling on a LD ride I always have some kind of 'soft' bag or 2 behind me. Usually it will be a backpack containing my photo gear, tripod and perhaps a second bag for 'not critical if the stuff gets wet'. I have only used bungies and never worried excessively while on the road. Especially...

    Replacing exhaust

Glad to hear you are ok Rob - everything else is details. One of my sons was rear ended at a light in Atlanta a year or so ago. He was knocked out but his helmet saved the day, no serious injuries. The bike was done & he gave up riding. . .
