    Office discusion

Just a thought. You mentioned some problems such as lack of backups & full files. Is there a chance that you are being viewed as a threat to the guy? Have these issues been mentioned? Might be time to move on at the first good opportunity. Best of luck. Ron

How to fill the back seat up

We all draw a different line when it comes to risk Vs reward. Don't push no matter how much you want her to ride with you & enjoy it. If something happened you would be full of guilt & regret. Find someone else to ride with. Don't neither give up your passion.

    Passenger Techniques

Basically I suggest that the passenger stay lined up with the bike & not to lean or put their feed down. A nervous passenger is easy to spot & more unsettling to the bike. Usually by the time I make the first turn coming out of my driveway I know if the passenger is nervous or not. Generally...

    need your help with wife

Tend to agree but generally causes problems! Agree, learned when I was 13 if I asked something the answer was always, NO! If it was reasonable generally it was OK later. It maybe too late for this approach if it's already been discussed. follow up with you had a coupon. Then tell her to go...

How fast can YOU take your FJR apart and reassemble?

Not sure how long it will take me. But after owning an 05 (Gen I) and now an 07 (Gen II) I think I can safely say the Gen II will take longer. For me it looks like much longer. Ron

    Newbie in every sence...

I follow the factory suggested maintenance-but change the oil & filter a bit more often. Keeps things running smooth & keeps all well for the warranty & extended service agreement (YES). I find the TBS schedule keeps things running smoother. You will probably get a lot of varying opinons...

    J&M CB &

From several years ago- J & M on my 05. Hope this helps. Side note: the Sony am/fm radio was not mounted there just happened to be laying there. Used it for a while then found an am/fm radio from Radio Shack that had a scan button that was better while riding. Range on both here in the...

What's the right bike for former pillion?

Taught the neighbor & friend down the street to ride a few years ago. She started on the small 250 cc Suz. She has a short inseam & after about 10K miles she moved up to the Kaw. Vulcan 800. Since it is a cruiser it has a low seat height. I think it runs about 48 hp or so. On normal riding...

    J&M CB &

Photos from my 05 several years ago: Hope this helps. Used alumumin stock from Lowes & longer screws in the Givi mount. It is recommended to mount the antenna at least 18" from the pillon to avoid changing the SWR when they get on the bike.

    J&M CB &

I have not experienced any noise on the J & M. As was stated the unit comes with a noise filter. Also the instructions say to wire into the tail light circuit for power. I placed the Integration module in the left side faring. My feeling is that the J & M is a pretty well engineered unit...

    J&M CB &

I used the J & M on my 05 for a couple of years & liked it. I also had the Intergration Module & fed in the cell, portable am/fm, & the Passport. The system worked fine. I bought the Zumo & plan to install it & all the above on my 07 as well as the Zumo Sat XM. I haven't got the 07...

    J&M CB &

I think J & M has an interconnect cable for connecting the two. Haven't used mine together yet to comment on the sound. Yesterday the 2008 J & M catalog came in the mail. A quick glance looked like bluetooth stuff as well. Haven't had time to read it yet though. Good luck.

    Interesting week at work

Certainly not an expert on corrosion here, but was wondering if there is a cathodic protective system available for this application? Also congrats on your solution to the removal problem. Sounds like the patent would be worth pursuing. Best of luck. :clapping:

    Big rig blow-out

My thoughts exactly. One item I didn't see mentioned is the fact that the truck tires run much higher pressures to begin with. Even the one ton farm, Contractor utility P/U tires run in the range of 60 PSI. When/if they start heating up you can imagine the pressure that builds up. Be...

    Service Manual on CD

I believe that Yamaha does indeed put the service manual on a CD. It is quite expensive & for the Yamaha Service departments. Check with your Dealer Service Manager. At one point I had a part number(?-order number) for it but that was a couple of years ago & I have since lost the number (I...
