I don't want to commit to FODS ride until I know I'll have the bike by then, but it sounds like a blast. Plenty of great riding in these San Bernardino mountains and surrounding areas.

I also had one, a 1800N. Big and beautiful and tons of torque. I had quite a few mods on her. I hated the ground clearance and the suspension was very lacking. The bike loved the open road though. After I bought the FJR the VTX sat in the garage all the time.

A dash of red locktite to keep the engine from loosening up after miles of high speed runs and it helps the clutch grab better :)

On the the waiter list at a very large dealership here in So Cal. Last time I was a waiter there was for my Fjr and the vin says I got the 5th one made. I can't wait! Love to go on that D.P. ride with the group in Nor Cal.

Make that 2.5 hr trip!! Especially if it's the latest model, (over 500hp off the showroom floor). I've driven many Zo6's and they take driving on four wheels to another level. Bowtie power!!!

I was on a ride with about 100 VTX's to raise money for our fallen Vet's and as we were entering Big Bear I saw ya heading the opposite direction on yer silver FJR.
