Amador City and Sutter Creek are now by-passed to the Sutter Hill stoplight. 60 mph tops though, it's the new favorite hangout for the CHP. :glare:
Thank you for that info. Are we connecting with you and Christy on our way through, Brad?

What time y'all gonna be passing through Angels Camp, more or less?
1100-1130
Um, Mike... You're not going. Remember?

Thinking that if we leave Auburn at 10 am, and assuming we are not pushing it and do not stop, it'll be more like noon.
I can do that. Maybe I find a place to have lunch, and we rendezvous there (if I'm invited on your ride.... :( ). Will you have just eaten? If hungry we can all meet for lunch there.

Clear the roadways and make it a free donut day at all the Krispy Creme shops, and maybe we'd have a chance. ;)

Yessir, but I do have a fairly good idea of how long it takes to get from Katrina's in Auburn to your requested meet place. I opined that you wanted an answer not realizing you were particular regarding the source of that answer. :bleh:

Not sure, Christy thinks she can get out the door from her work in Sutter Hill around noon. She will have her gear, a quick pit-stop pick-up and we're roll'in. I'll PM you my cell # so we can try to connect.

Mikey, Mikey, Mikey.... :nono: Only people going on the ride are allowed in this thread. Sorry. I don't make the rules. I just enforce them. Okay, maybe I made that one....

Well, I am still in BFE Michigan in the middle of the National Forest at the library to use the internet. LOL. I may have missed all the hotel bookings since I have been incomunicato. Is anyone going solo and wants to share? If so, then let me know. If not, then I will just get my Russell seat in Shasta on Wednesday and ride around there a bit. Cannot reply until Sunday since I will be in the air tomorrow, but let me know if someone wants to split a room.

I was thinking of a detour that would add some extra time to the trip. If its agreeable to the other players.

I'm thinking Salmon falls road to Plymouth to Fiddletown

right on Shake town to Pinegrove then left to West Point to Mokelumne Hill and hwy 49

This detour will add about 1 hour to the trip. Leaving Katrina's at 10:00 would put us in Mokelumne hill at around 12:30 and Angels Camp around 1:00 or mabee a little later if we stop along the way.

If we skip the detour we should hit Angels Camp around 12:00.

I have used Map Source to come up with these numbers so if anyone that knows these roads wants to chime in here, Go for it. (even you Mike)

This just in...

Christy is now taking the day off. So if you want to take Steve's side route I can meet you in West Point. If no takers or now no need (other than fun) for the detour how about Jackson?

Barabas - You can take my room. We had a wrench thrown into our plans today. Karen has an important job interview at LAX that late Friday. We are now thinking about leaving Sacramento on Sat. morning and meeting you all on the "other" side of the Sierras Saturday late afternoon.

I like that addition to the route, Steve! How about I lead the first 10 miles or so: from Katrinas down to the confluence off Forest Hill Road and up 49 to Salmon Falls Road, where you take over and show us the way. Sounds like that has us picking Brad and Christie up in West Point on our way down, at what time -- 12:30 or a little earlier?

Itching to ride next weekend, and about to go down to the garage and get started on the Muzzy header and PC III install.

Hello? Hello? :bye2: Where's the love, guys? I'm just not feeling the love out here in Concord... I'm startin' to get the feeling nobody wants to play with me. :cray: And I'm pretty sure I didn't even say anything about knee pucks... :glare:

Are we on for lunch in Angels Camp?

Not sure -- I'lll leave that to Steve, since he's ridden the route and knows it a better than I do. Looking like we may be angling to meet up in West Point with Brad and Christy. Either meet us wherever that develops or we'll pick an Angels Camp time -- sounds likely to be later than noon, though. You may get stuck behind a loud pipe, though.**  <_<

Uhm, anyone signing up for "Reading Comprhension 101"? :dribble:

And before you say anything about my "not riding":

so if anyone that knows these roads wants to chime in here, Go for it. (even you Mike)
:blum:
Personally, I'd PM Bluestreek and exchange cell phone numbers and information so you can better plan your FJR convergance. ;) Angels Camp Rendezvous?

Where's the love, guys?
Just for you, Hans.... :drinks:   :grouphugsmiley:

James a few of us will be having breakfast at Kristie's in Auburn at 9:00. If you or anyone else for that matter (even others not riding with us) would like to join us there you would be welcome.

I'd like to be on the road by 10:00 following the route I laid out in my earlier post. Picking up a rider or two along the way we should reach Angels Camp between 1:00 and 1:30.

The restaurant where we will be having breakfast knows how to fill a plate so I don't think I will be having lunch. Maybe a light snack along the way. Although I could be over ruled by the other players in the group.

If you want we can PM our cell numbers and hook up along the way. Or just let me know where you will be and we can plan a break there

Thanks, just got home and have access to the "internets again." Wow, that was like visiting an area without electricity. Had to go to the town library, 30 miles away to log on. And my mule could only go so fast (LOL, but only on that last part). As to the room reservations, go ahead and give to someone else. It seems like this is mainly a two up ride and I would be solo.
