    Leo Drolet's slider peg mounts

Probably comfy and all but it looks like some Harley-ish cancer growing on your bike.

O the Shame! O the Humiliation!

Definitely a sign of scrotal shrinkage... might want to see your doctor.

Beginners Guide to Buying a MC Helmet

Like all "science" boiled down to readers digest versions, there's more to the story and the devil's in the (considerable) details. I would delete this portion of this otherwise good post. The most informative part for me was the interview with the SCC dude.

To the group of HOG posers at the gas station in Monroe WA, Saturday.

God I friggin hate Harley posers  . Good for you to laugh it off. Best to just keep quiet then let the bike do the talking.

    Smoothness map

I would also caution against the smoothness map as it will flatten out the bike's power at upper RPM's. At least it had that effect on my bike. It was very noticeable and annoying. The stock map has no such problems.

    FJR or ST

Dude.. It's almost the weekend. Test ride both bikes this weekend and report back! I'm 95% sure I know what you will say afterwards. Oh... and make sure you get a look at the ST with bags removed :puke: . You will not always want those dumbells hanging off your bike.

    FJR or ST

Test ride both bikes if you can. That's what I did. If you buy an ST without ever riding the FJR you will regret it once you realize your mistake. The ST has some decent qualities, but two words sum it up: Boring and Ugly.

    "stick-on" equalizer

Years ago I passed some dude on a two lane road commuting to work in the morning. Next thing I know he passes me back then locks 'em up in front of me. I had to lock em up too. We're in the middle of the road. He then gets out of his car and stomps back towards me. The dude's wearing slacks and...

Considering an addition to the lineup...

Ride it and then see how you feel. Last year I was jonesing bad for a duc monster... wanted a black one. What a sweet looking bike! Eventually I went down and rode one. It was a sweet ride. But then while I was riding home on the FJR, with its smooth engine, ride, and handling it occured to me...

Less than 2000 miles and the engine has to be cracked open.

Depends on what you can tolerate financially because you're going to take a hit on the trade in. But if it makes you feel better about the bike, do it. Besides, black is WAY cooler than that gay red color ;)

Test-Driving Preliminary Results of Statistical Analysis

Good stuff... indicates that we motorcyclists are in control of our destiny to a large extent. And I would say even when the cager was tagged at fault some of those accidents probably could be avoided with better skills and observation (on the part of the rider).

    Harley Stuntahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Beautiful! We should have a whole forum section for this type of stuff.

    horn

Yep, my bad. That was for the magnum blasters. They rock by the way. There are instl instructions by Warchild on fjrtech.com.

    horn

The harness helps big time. I used FJRandy's harness which was really nice but I don't know if he's still selling them. Installation is a bit of a challenge. Randy included a nice set of instructions with his harness. You need to make damn sure your horns don't interfere with the forks and that...

Handling Issues '05 FJR - any suggestions

Have you checked your compression and rebound dampening settings to make sure they're symmetrical left and right? (just a shot in the dark.)
