I looked at the No Mar changers last year but after reading a review of the Cycle Hill tire changer on Web Bike World, (Clicky) I ended up buying that one and have been very happy with my choice.
I use the Laminar Lip on my stock screen during the warmer months, and despite it being extremely fugly, it does dramatically reduce buffeting, yet still allows some cooling airflow. It is a PITA to clean around though.
During the cooler seasons, I throw on the barn door known as the Vstream...
No macho thing here, simple economics. I get almost twice the fuel mileage using the FJR than in the cage.
Lost my job last year and the new one pays a lot less moolah, and I still have farkles to buy...

Wild, where do you commute to? I commute 45 miles...
I commute 60 miles each way year round, and only use the cage when there is snow and ice on the ground. (Or a threat of them while I am at work).
Coldest temps so far were about 11 degrees, and even with heated gloves and jacket liner, I was very cold by the time I got into work.
Since I don't...
You obviously misheard. They don't call me "Tripod" for nuthing!!!
Actually, they don't call me Tripod at all, but since I already have a TK-3131, and you don't, my Kenwood antenna is currently longer than yours! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
Both Honda (CBX1000) and Kawasaki (Z1300) produced inline six-cylinder motors as far back as 1979.
I had a 1982 CBX, and it was one of the smoothest motors I have ever owned, but the handling was abysmal.
I agree it should be interesting to see how this one develops.
A couple of weeks back, I noticed that my throttle required a bit more effort than usual, and figured that I needed to lube the cables.
Further investigation revealed that the wire to the heated grip had broken and was binding inside the housing enough to prevent the throttle return from...
I bought a leftover 07AE which now has 27K, and I have never had any problems getting her into gear, or taking off.
Not having a manual clutch takes very little time to get used to, and the only thing I had to adapt to was using trail braking on low speed manouvers.
Bike has been 100%...
Thanks Jeff. I have been considering one for a while, but wasn't sure which would work best on an FJR.
I just ordered the front stand, but am also curious to know if any of your rear stands will work on the Feej?
Pete.
Here in PA, passing the MSF course automatically grants the M endorsement on your license.
As soon as you pass the course, the MSF notifies the DMV who send out a paper amendment to your license. Upon license renewal, the M endorsement is added to the actual license.
And the best part of the...
A couple of months back, I got a set of Michelin PR2's from www.derbycycles.com for $295 delivered.
Got them fitted and balanced at my local H-D dealership for around $60, and they did a great job, and no marking up of the rims at all.
(No appointment necessary, but first come-first served on...
My local Yamaha dealer wanted to charge me close to $600 to supply and install a set of PR2's to the 07 that I purchased new from them. When I explained that I could get them online for less than half their price, and asked them to install the tires, they refused saying their policy was not to...
Third has confirmed. His passport arrived yesterday.
Alldawg, which 2 bars also serve gas, and is the beer any good?
Don't think we will have time to check out PEI. We will need to save that for another trip.
Thanks for all the advice guys 'n' gals, this is going to be a fun trip.
I commute daily with a 110 mile round trip. Only time I do not ride is if there is snow or ice on the ground, but otherwise the FJR does the job.
Lately, it's been warm on the way to work, but thunderstorms and heavy rain on the way home. Rain gear fits easily in either of the side bags, lunch...
I have been using the Vonage VOIP srvice for around six years, and while initially there were problems with call quality and dropped calls etc., they have really got their act together over the past couple of years.
Free local and international calls within the US, Canada and to the UK. I aso...
Hmmm, now you got me thinking, which is never a good thing!!!
I wonder if I were to to simply place a diode in series with the purple wire to the CCS-100, would this prevent the purple wire from seeing 8V when the brake lights are off, and allow the CC to engage without using either the relay...
