I for one wont shed tears about the KLRs departure. Never understood why these had such a following except for durability. My two rides on one left me vastly underwhelmed.

Cool rig. If it can come in around 400 lbs it would be a winner. Like my KTM 1190r but would love it more if it were lighter. The 1090R didn’t lose much weight.

If I had to only own one bike, I’d probably opt for a GS1200. Luckily I can own several. I have the FJR for touring, the KTM 1190R for adventure, and the Husky for single track. I’ve been tempted to trade the FJR and KTM in on a GS1200 but low trade in value, perceived costly BMW maintenance...
