Vibes like that don't sound right. Grip puppies and gloves is all I have and I only notice a slight vibe at 4000 that don't really bother me. Of course I am kinda old and don't feel much except for a hurting butt. Don't sound like the seat bothers you.

Know how you feel Patriot. I was pressured into retirement by plant closure and can't believe how hard it is to get and use the money you saved for 34 years. There is always some tax hidden in there. Was the Fjr your only bike?

You probably need a new starter. Seen this on high mileage trucks and cars. Starter drags when hot. Think this was mentioned earlier. If it has been jump started with high amperage the windings may be damaged.

Pulled mine at 13000 and it was ok also. No rust just enough grease on everything.

The weight of all those farkles probably wore it out. Mine is for sell at the right price.

My 08 cold fast idle is about1500 and it sometimes clunks a few times. I'll be trying that screw if I can find it, to raise the idle as Howie says. No hurry though, mine runs smooth as silk after about 20 seconds of warm up.
