    PAIR Removal question

I have an 06, non-Calibike and I have (or had) that same hose too. As previous poster said, pull it off, and plug the end there. It goes into the airbox if I recall, but it's been oh, 6 or 7 years since I pulled mine off.

Gen I Electrical Gremlins - Possible Windscreen Motor Issue?

Not sure where it is on a Gen 1, but on a Gen 2 the spider you're looking for is on the right side (as you look at the bike) left side as you're sitting on it, on a Gen 2. S6 or S7. Those were my exact symptoms. I was able to repair mind, and install the Brodie harness (after the fact). You...

    Geico Insurance experience

Having been on the other side, A Geico insured dude, glanced of a pole and ran over a bunch of trees n **** in my yard. All I can say if if getting them to pay for the damage their insured did to personal property was this hard. I can't imagine what it would have been like if he'd hit me on my...

Does anyone NOT like their Russell Day-Long seat? 60 day ride coming this fall.

You can certainly get an ill fitting Russel, but even when they don't fit you the best they are still generally speaking way better than anything else, including the Sargent you're about to replace. I used to use Beads/AirHawk with my Sargent. I still use the beads on the Russell but only got...

+1 Proud to do it. How has this not already happened? Is there some length of time that must pass before you can submit the petition? -MD

    Interesting FJR on the Bay

Yeah for $10g's, she's gonna be sitting on that thing for a very loooooooong time I suspect.

    Upgrading to a Valentine 1?

Also late to the discussion but... I keep mine mounted on the right handlebar/ram-mount, short ram-ball thingy. (the magnetic mount with a velcro strap over it just for the added safety factor). In a drizzle, I do absolutely nothing, it's actually pretty protected. If it looks like rain...

Compared to other bikes you have owned what do you like most and the least about the fjr.

This is a very good topic. Compared to other bikes I've owned. Likes Definitely, the looks, the FJR, all gens, is still a sharp looking bike. Comfort, with very little tweaking, this bike easily provides all day comfort. The Power, smooth power. Handling, for the pig that she is, she's pretty...

maybe a weird question about tires

And that may very well be the case for me. Maybe I just got "Lucky" on a few changes and it was "good enough/close enough" that I didn't feel any issues and it caught up with me on the last two changes. I'll do the same thing next time, leave the weights, line up the barcode in the same way...

maybe a weird question about tires

I believe that they do, the small barcode sticker on the beat is supposed to be mounted at the valve stem. That's what we were told by a Michelin guy at a BMWMOA tiretalk thing a while back. In the past I have just balanced the rim, and done that and it was fine. That said, on my last two...

    How Do I Tell 'Em?

I wish you luck in communicating this, but I highly suspect it will fall on deaf ears regardless of where your data is coming from. They are usually of the mindset that a helmet is going to do more harm than good "It'll break your damn neck, don't you know any better?" "Loud Pipes save lives...

    Nasty crash caught on video

Agree, and he doesn't appear to be moving much faster than the white vehicle that passes in the beginning. Lexus driver is due a beat down me thinks.
