Snow & Ice chains from MV Motorrad!

For some reason this looks a REALLY bad idea. Not sure I would ride in conditions slippery enough that I need chains - leaning and steering might be an issue. Spiked tires are really the answer.

    Replace Sticky string?

I did a "sticky string" repair to a tire on my trailblazer that lasted the remainder of the life of the tire (about 25,000 miles after the repair). For the first couple of weeks i checked the tire pressure every day - it never changed. After that I forgot about it. Not as big an issue on a...

    Spongy rear brake

My rear pedal seems to be sticking a bit. Brakes are not soft, but pedal doesn't return all the way back up and sometimes the brake light stays on. Like I said the brakes are firm, but the pedal seems to stick a bit. Any easy way to clean off the brake lever piston mechanism?

    Source of plastic windshiedl screws?

I agree, eventhough they are $0.085 each (that's 8.5 cents). The off-white ones are only 8 cents each. That's about 60 cents every time you remove your windshield - maybe worth it.

    Source of plastic windshiedl screws?

I would stick with the plastic screws. No reason to have pretty metal ones, since you can't see them anyway and for safety, I'd rather have the screws break off if I was ever to try to fly through the windscreen. I use the ones from McMaster-Carr, with rubber and thin plastic washers. The...

Gen2/3 Subframe Stiffy Kit by Garauld

So I was going over my son's bike (bicycle) that he rode 3500 miles on this summer. I noticed this weight limit on hie rear-rack: That's 25 kgs, 55.1 lbs. on a 20 lb touring bike!! Why the hell are limited to 11 lbs (officially) on a 650 lb motorcycle?????

Givi 357 Gen2/3 rack - supersized by Garauld

Just sent. I don't even have the rack on my bike at the moment, so it might take me a couple days to install it, make some measurements, drink a few beers, make a few more measurements, lay down have a nap, then start scribbling. The main tricky parts may be bending new tubing to the proper...

Givi 357 Gen2/3 rack - supersized by Garauld

I am very envious of Garauld's welding skills and would like to enlist his help in the modification of teh GIVI 357 I am mulling over.

Givi 357 Gen2/3 rack - supersized by Garauld

At the risk of opening a can of worms: Does this offer additional sub-frame protection? Looks to me like it only adds room for additional weight hanging off the back of the bike, which could lead to embarrassing butt(rear sub-frame)-cracks. I've got a GIVI 357 rack that I'm working on a mod...

Haynes Service Manual for 01-13 model is Available!Covers AE/AS models.

It's also only listed on the UK website, so you may have to translate everything from English into American. For example, a "spanner" is a "wrench".
