    BeemerDonS crashes, is in hospital.

Glad Don is alive to tell of the adventure, not one he wanted to go on..... Yes the orthopedic surgery sucks and he is looking at a few months over recovery. I see guys in my clinic who have crashed but were not wearing safety gear and I do lecture them on it. Best wishes and quick recover Don!

Sorry, make that 2 now. Number one a petro engineer and number two is boatswain working off shore buying for his son..... Maybe I should put them in contact with each other. Sit back and see who comes out on top.

    paypal scam

I just listed my vulcan for sale today on craigslist and cycletrader. In two hours time I have already been offered my asking price for the bike site unseen. But he cannot do the transaction face to face and can only pay by paypal. His "agent" will pick the bike up if this arrangement is ok with...

Well the sliders work (aka parking lots suck)

Good protection from the sliders. RJAMT I see you are at Scott AFB. I spent 6 years there, last tour was 2002-05. Glad to be out of that area!

    Tire inflation

Wow, I never knew tire pressure invoked such strong emotions! I hate to admit it but check my tire pressure once every week or two. Maybe I am just willing to be a little more risky as if riding a motorcycle is risky enough, lol.

    mounting monolock case on Gen1

Good question and one I shall be watching closely. I will putting a topcase on mine down the road but unlike you my wife will not ride with me until our youngest is 18. I cannot complain about that as she is the one who lets me ride and buys me motorcycles to keep me happy. Funny thing is she...

Tecno Globe ''Koso Appolo'' Heated Grips With Embedded Controller On The Left Grip!+(Photos)

I just checked out the link. They have a set of "heated gloves" which is a cool looking option as the fit over your handlebars providing shelter and heat. Ends appear wired open so it is easy to slide your hands in and out. Has anyone tried these yet?

    How'd I do? New-used '05

Great find for you. Too bad you are selling the other 05 as it is just getting broke in! Hope to make a ride out you way some day as I would love to Montana.

My version of the HID FJRocket/Jestal mods

I hate to bring this zombie back but I have a question on HIDs. Why not switch to HIDS for low beams and have a set of HID aux mounted for the high beams. Just wire it so when you switch to high beams the current flows to the aux lights? Just a thought as I may be modifying my lights on the Gen...

    2010 or 2008?

It comes down to being able to afford the difference in price. The 2008 sounds like a great bike and you should get many happy miles out of it. Bank the difference and save for the newer model a few years down the road. This is what I am doing. Got the 2005 when the 2014 is what I lust after...

    New Bike (for me)

I appreciate the compliments on the bike and my lovely wife. I would post a picture of her (wife) but then everyone would be here at my house. 2 years ago she bought me my welcome back to motorcycles bike (2009 Vulcan 500) which I have farkled out and now this one. I feel blessed all the way...

    New Bike (for me)

I am thrilled to say I have a 2005 FJR1300 ABS model. My wife told me last night she purchased it for me. Stated it is not the new model you wanted but it will do until we can afford to get the "Red" one you have been drooling over. Needless to say I #$&% my pants in excitement. Now I just have...

    Motoport visit

I have a pair of the stretch pants which I love. They are easy to get on and off and I feel very secure when wearing them. I have a tourmaster flex series jacket which pales in quality when compared the Motoport pants. Next on my list is to replace the Tourmaster jacket with a stretch kelvar...
