I'd also be suspicious of the gas you pumping into your tank. Try using a different gas station and see if that solves the problem

+1 Center punched on the bike, drilled out by myself with no problem. Didn't raise the tank. You are making this much more difficult than it is.

Congratulations for having the good sense to by an '06, the fastest FJR color. I'll add my $.02 on taming the abrupt throttle off idle. I used the G2 throttle cam and tube and found it helpful. It made quite a difference. But I still felt more was necessary, so I installed a PCIII. I think...
