You could knock off the corners of the datel and give the zip a groove to ride in. Sounds like a stouter mount than the manufacturer's spring clip.

The cops in the the Navajo Nation seem to be somewhat strict so, I tend to keep the speed down and enjoy the sights. You'll pass right by 4-corners, gotta get a pic. It is somewhat remote riding- carry a tire repair kit and don't count on cell service. Have fun, looks like a great ride!

I'm wondering, like Skooter if the bikes been dropped. You may be able to see a slight misalignment in the mirrors if you sight from the front.

I'm in the mid 70's on mine and keep a screwdriver handy to keep the tension snug. I do think it's wearing out. It is a great design- love the thumb flip to disengage.

It can be a very satisfying chuckle if you have a performance award in the tankbag! :clapping:

Very Clean!!! BTW- I have a fuel pump with my tank that slips into the tail cone area. Just enough room with the hoses and fittings.
