    First 100 miles

I've had my 06 for almost two years now and still smile the whole time I am riding it. Especially when twisting the throttle. That never gets old.

What We Do In California on a Cold January Weekend

Great, great video! I see the cager couldn't make up his mind at about the 22 second mark. I assume that the Arial Atom hit some sand on the road? There looked like quite a bit of junk on the road in the really tight stuff.

    Some clever photoshop images

    Me neither.

    The first TURBO fjr

I am not that much of a motorhead but l'd think that the first path to go down would be to see what type of transmission gears or middle drive gears you can get or have made. I would think that changing the final drive would cost a lot more than the $6k you have to work with.

    Park and move from cyclegadgets

Thanks Groo! Locking the castors makes sense.

    Park and move from cyclegadgets

I wish they would have shown how you get the bike off the centerstand. I suppose you would have to place your foot in front of the centerstand tang then try to push the bike forward? Would also like to see this done in a typical garage, not an empty one. But it does look like it would work...

    cold not running

I had the same problem with my Concours. The sidestand switch works the same as on the FJR. When the sidestand is down, there is a cam that positively pushes the switch plunger in and opens the contact. When the sidestand is in the up position the switch plunger is pushed out via a spring...

If starting salary is $85k, why would she be serving beer? Wait, student loans. Yeah.. that's the ticket.

    Gang bangers lament

I bet his momma always told him the 18th would kill him some day. Just didn't think it would be an 18 wheeler.

Riding away with a cold engine

That is exactly what I do. By the time I have the jacket, helmet and gloves it just comes off fast idle and away I go. Course my route is about 6 blocks of 30mph then 2 miles of 45 mph, 2 miles of 55 mph then slab. Won't tell you how fast I go then. Hehehehe.

    Our trip to the Rockies

The border crossing was no big deal. We crossed into Canada at Portal, ND. When we pulled up we gave them our passports even though they didn't need them. We asked us to remove our helmets and sunglasses to make a positive match and that was it. We crossed back into the US at the Glacier...

    Gen III possibilities or preferences.

I am not so sure it will be that long. There was a lot of side-by-side comparos done on ST bikes this year. More so then previous IMHO. I can see YamaMama maybe kicking it up a notch to respond to the new Conny and the Beemer. To stay on track, I would like to see work to make it lighter...

    Our trip to the Rockies

I have heard it is the most photographed view in Glacier. It is called Wild Goose Island.

Warning after viewing: Eat glass, get a lap dance, fight some cops,

I could only watch for about 30 seconds. Ish. :gah:

    Our trip to the Rockies

I don't know, we have other parts of the country we want to tour first. I think our next trip will be the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have an aunt that lives in Robbinsville, NC in the summers. Will have to go visit her some time.

    Our trip to the Rockies

That is exactly the route we took. Wanted to stay off the slab as much as we could but still make good time. There was one bad spot of road construction on 12. They completely stripped off the old blacktop and were in the process of rebuilding the whole thing for about 10 miles. It was a...

    Our trip to the Rockies

Really, the only time we were on 89 was after we crossed back into the US on Hwy 6 we got on 89 for just a few miles before we turned to get to Many Glaciers Lodge. Where exactly are you talking about?

    Our trip to the Rockies

I have finally taken the time to figure out the way to posts pictures so I figured I would show a little bit of our trip to the Canadian Rockies and Glacier NP. In July we hauled the bike from our home in Jacksonville to my parent's farm in NE North Dakota. We dropped the kids and the truck...
