    Rain gear recommendations

Frogg toggs are nice but go for the road toad model. they have reflective stripping that really helps to make yourself seen. They go for around $50 online.

    Brothers, Please give me strength

Listen to what Jeff Ashe wrote. Its so very true. My ex tried everything to keep me from seeing my daughter. Thankfully I quit trying to pay her back for all the crap she was putting me through and focused on seeing my daughter. Eventually the law finally worked for me and seeing my daughter...

    This guy changed the world

I agree. If more companies valued thier employees it would be alot better off. I've seen that firsthand myself.

    C-14 with side car

100% correct. My wife can't stand the FJR but sorta likes the rig. She had back surgury a few years ago. Even agreed to a ride to the other side of the state later this summer to a historic town with me. Both my kids love it and I can take them both with me. A small car won't do it when you...

    Garage Door Opener

Or do a phase shift through the door or a sub-space jump into the garage and you won't need a door opener. Ok, I know. I'm just bored at work and have watched to much Star Trek.

    Cost for Valve Check-Adjustment

I dunno. I also always thought valve adjustments should be done on a cool engine. I think your statement about the tech says it all. I would have it done again after leaving it overnight. If you trust them that is.

    Why I Don't Fish

Man, just what I needed. Thanks, that was a good one.

    C-14 with side car

Thanks for the links. They have some really nice sidecars and have to give them credit. Still a little large for me but would like to see them in front of me. Still don't like that C-14 rig though.

    Resistance is Futile

I never understood how clustering as herd animals shows individuality. I have nothing against Harleys. Some models are great looking and will handle well within its limits. But this "I am a loner but I dress the same and look the same" crap just kills me. Thats why I walked out of thier...

    Helmet of Choice

I agree. Earplugs make a world of difference and the better ventilation on my X-11 seems to help somewhat with fogging in cold weather.

    Help with ridin pants

Ive found that the black draggin jeans fit well. The Sliders jeans are OK if you like the MC hammer style.

    Riding boots

I wear Sidi On Road boots. I don't think they have steel toes but they are re-enforced. I will say this about my get off last week. If my boot didn't have the hardened toe I am pretty certain I would have broken something. I scruffed it right at the edge and upper front portion of my boot. Ouch.

    So.....anyone own a ural?

I agree with you on that. But the 2 wheel drive thing got me. Maybe its the ex-marine in me trying to get back out. I didn't want to go with the goldwing or harley with a side car. They just didn't appeal to me though you are right about reliability and parts. But that is what I expected...

I'm In! New member of the Crash Club.

Ok. The tally so far on the bike is about $250 in parts and another $211 in labor. That includes a left engine cover, muffler mount, and shifter assembly. The labor is for all that and new sliders. I will have the saddlebag repainted and the muffler only looks bad on the bottom. Won't see...

    So.....anyone own a ural?

Yeah, thats one of the things I looked at when I purchased it. Until I find out how this thing behaves I will always have a backup plan. I've been reading where thier reliability has greatly increased so I decided to take a chance. 2 year warranty/ unlimited miles. And if a repair takes...

    So.....anyone own a ural?

Won't my fjr be surprised when it gets home. It vibrates at speed. Top speed is about 40% of the fjr (and thats being generous). Can barely find neutral and don't forget what gear I'm in because it won't tell you. 2 carbs and drum rear brakes. It has a true reverse thats really handy! Best...
