...and the number is...10. That's the number of routes you ca store in the main memory. You coud stoee more on the sd card Iirc. That's on a 1390. Dunno about t'other.

We have a bunch of Hyundai's in my family. Every once in a while they'll throw a check engine light due to the gas cap not sealing correctly. It goes away after a few dozen miles. I wonder if it could be something similar?

On a first gen there is a largish connector under the tank behind the steering head that is known to be prone to corrosion. It can cause any manner of bizarre problems, including drivability issues. May also be a contributing cause for the headlight issue. Oh yeah, check your battery...

I'd err on the cautious side with brakes since I ride 2-up with a loaded trailer in the mountains.

Is the idle speed at 1100 rpm? If it's lower it will run a little ragged. Shhh may actually be from the tires. Does it Shhh if you spin the wheel by hand with the front jacked up?
