I mentioned it before that maybe it's just me but I think it's a **** color. Doesn't look red to me, looks more like the baby-crap-burnt-orange on a Chevy. I wouldn't consider buying such an ugly vehicle. If you gave me one I'd have it repainted. No way, no how I'd ride it. Why doncha just put some studs in the seat and tassles on the handle bars too prissy boys?
Note- no smiley faces. I ain't kiddin'. It looks like crap to me. I hate it.
I like red motorcycles and I plan to take a serious look at the '14. It is hard to tell exactly what the red FJR looks like until I see one in person. The color you see on your computer can be very different from the actual color. I'm not sold on the ES version yet. I am hesitant for the same reason I didn't get ABS on my '05. It adds complexity and adds one more thing that could go wrong.

I'm not a red kind of guy at all but i like it ok. Enough to own one. It is a color Yamaha has used before - on the R6 and other models i believe. It does have metallic flake and is just a shade darker than say fire engine red. I don't see orange in it. But in the end of color is a personal thing. One size does not fit all.

Sure wish i could ride the ES version. I could see one of those in my garage. Right next to the new FZ-09 that will be there sooner than later.

I really appreciate you doing this for us. But I hate you for it as well. I have been having issues with the ST1300 and Dear Old Dad has been encouraging me to "trade up". I am afraid of what will happen when I finally see one of these in person.

Why do you keep fighting the inevitable? Resistance is futile! You know how this story ends! Quit delaying and just get it over with for crying out loud!

We will be checking it out tomorrow.

I hope Skooter has the bikes all set up for a nice domino effect!

Maybe we can get some cash off for bikes with scratches ?

Thanks for the photos!

My bride, who sees the smile on my face when a new issue of a motorcycle magazine arrives in the mailbox, understands the value of NEW bike-**** photos.

(Heck, she even waited patiently yesterday as I walked into 5 different motorcycle dealers during our 7 mile walk in Barcelona. Love that woman!)

See you in December in Long Beach.

If anyone is judging the color of the 2014 FJR by the picture of it setting inside at the expo, you're not seeing the true Candy Red that it is.

The lighting in there makes it look bad (not good). As I mentioned before, get it out in natural light and you'll see.

Showed the pics to Mrs Pepperell. She sez;

1. Wish that guy wasn't sittin' on it so I could see the side better.

2. What's that black thing for?

3. She needs to eat!

Thanks, Greg!!

Not a black rim guy, but they look good on that bike and I've been waiting for a red FJR since 2004. Might break down and get one. Maybe......

Great. Now they make a red one.

Oh well, still pretty happy with my Bonnie.

Guess my next bike will be Ducati...they make alot of red bikes...

Looking forward to reading about how well the new electronic shocks work however..

Still checking in now and then...

I wasn't a fan of the black wheels (at first) on my '03, but they do look better than a lighter colored-wheel IMHO and if for some reason you get a chip or nick in them, easy to touch up the gloss black finish.

What I don't care for with the black wheels on the later model FJR's, incl. the '14 is the matte black finished wheels, maybe a refinishing will be in order when the tires need replacing.

Chrome those ******* up..... !!!!

I've never been a fan of Black Wheels on cars, I think they take away from the lines of a really clean vehicle and IMO Wheels Make the Car...

With that said - the black wheels on the FJR look pretty nice to me... much easier to keep clean or should I say ignore - tar and dirt don't show up as much....

That lame-*** ******* never made it.
That guy needs to get out more.

You guys (And Skooter) are just RUTHLESS!

Had a rolling flat the day before (Sticky Sting came out) Seemed simple enough... now it has a violent wobble and the 2nd sticky sting has blown out.

Tire (Rear) only has 16k on it and I thought I could get at least 2k more. I missed a good expo thats for sure.

Actually I did make it to Orlando!
