What bike are you currently lusting after?

I'm thinking a Tiger 800 would be just about perfect...

Darn fine podium group. Congrats to all! Schmitt is a machine. That's an awesome ride.

    Butt Lite 6IX

Just heard from CDog that Alex went down. He's okay -- 'stich worked -- but he's waiting on a few parts. It sounds like he'll get back in and, last I heard, still had a shot to make the checkpoint. He may not be leading any more, though.

    I need new summer gloves

I really like the Tourmaster Deerskins for summer. I'm kind of a glove whore so have tried a bunch. These are the ones I keep picking up.

    Rossi to Yamaha Factory MotoGP

Yeah. As good as we all thought we was -- well, he was probably better than that.

    What are these grips?

I don't know what those are, but Emgo makes some in that shape. Google Emgo Black Rubber Grips and you should be able to find them. No endorsement. I've never used them. Just ran across 'em in my travels through the intrawebs. ;)

    Rossi to Yamaha Factory MotoGP

I saw Yammie's press release today on a different site. Didn't mention anything about post-2014. I'm gonna guess neither side wants to commit to that just yet... I'd still like to see it, though.

    Is the EPA serious?

I sent that one in a few days ago. It took about 30 seconds. This reg does not seem well thought out.

    Rossi to Yamaha Factory MotoGP

I think Crutchlow may be getting the better end of that deal -- at least, based on this year's performance. More on the Rossi deal: VisorDown was saying the rumored deal included Rossi playing a big role in the development of Yammie's next superbike and then moving with it to WSBK after the...

    Another brake pad question:

The service manual says that when you replace the front brake pads, you should also change the pad shims and the pad spring (the latter referred to as "support pad" in the parts fiche). Is that really necessary? Do you folks do that?

    The Color of Your Jacket

Sounds like you met one of the local nut jobs. Might have been a sports thing, might have been a political thing, but it doesn't really matter since it's stupid either way. But you know, if that's the only whack head you've met on the road, you're kinda running behind. So don't dwell on it...

    Keyless gas cap for sale

*** SOLD!! *** I bought this for rallying, never installed it, and then forgot I had it. I found it while clearing out some old parts. So -- it's a brand new, screw on gas cap just waiting for you. It's aluminum, not the gold tone it appears to be in these crummy cell phone photos. And it's...

(Probably) buying my first FJR tomorrow

'tis true. But the even more observant forum member would have noticed the OP mentioned an '02 US version. I merely meant to point out that us Yanks had to suffer deeply for additional year. ;)

(Probably) buying my first FJR tomorrow

Post up pics if you get it! I think we can all guarantee that you'll love the bike. (And by the way, just for the record, the first year in the U.S. was '03.)

Gen II drilled for ram ball stem nut

Got mine from Techmount. Outstanding work, shipped the same day. Give 'em a call and tell them what you want.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Changed the air filter. Decided to go back to the OEM.

    Sport Touring Motorcycle Magazines?

That Sport-Touring Illustrated cover is hysterical. I agree with those saying Rider was the closest thing we had to a sport-touring rag. They even had a (semi?) regular section labeled sport-touring. I still like them because they tend to focus on real world riding rather than top speed in the...
