    A new Valkyrie

Agreed. I like the new Valkyrie. It's a very polarizing design and you'll either love it or hate it. Its new & different and not just another cookie cutter cruiser design. People rag on HD because all their cruisers look the same (except for the Vrod) and then when someone makes a new style...

Power & Acceleration of 13/14 Gen.III vs Gen. II

Hmmm. Maybe...maybe not. The FJR moves quite nicely for me...even riding 2up with my wife. https://vimeo.com/44285798

Power & Acceleration of 13/14 Gen.III vs Gen. II

Right that's the model I was referring to. 2000 VFR is ancient history.

Power & Acceleration of 13/14 Gen.III vs Gen. II

Wow...Honda claims 172hp at the crank on the VFR! And it's a little lighter than the FJR. If the FJR is indeed faster...Honda doesn't know WTF their doing. lol To me the FJR is the Perfect blend of all things. Has plenty of power for me yet its very forgiving to ride.

Power & Acceleration of 13/14 Gen.III vs Gen. II

Power "snap" is all relative. If your comparing it to a Busa, the FJR is a lard ass. If your coming from any type of cruiser, the FJR is beast. I have noticed lots of ST riders like to shift between 3000-4000 rpm even though the shifting redzone is between 9000-11,000 rpm on the FJR. If you...

+1 I like all your points. You should post on here more often. I'd love to see more RR from you from OR/WA area. Me & my wife are thinking of flying out to Portland either later this year or next year for sure. I've always wanted to visit and see the OR coast as well as ride up the Columbia...

    - Your top 5 Reasons (not 8, or 12 or 178 reasons) you get out and ride. - Bonus question - Best new bike mod, bike add on, new hobby, new riding mindset or any other thing you do different recently that's added to your personal riding enjoyment? (I'm looking for a total of 6 items for your...

    Blue Bird Sky

Nice! Man this time of year just getting any kind of ride in is very rewarding. That's cool about seeing the birds & looks like a nice day out on the iron horses! I got out on the Wife's Ninja yesterday afternoon (The FJR saddle-less at the moment) in Georgia with the temps in the low-mid 60's...

How do I mount a cell phone to the FJR?

Mine stays in my tank bag. I don't ride to take phone calls. It can wait until I'm stopped or if / when I feel like checking it...which is rarely. The Zumo GPS is the only electronics I need for routing and not worrying about it getting rained on. But I'm weird...I know.

    Vacationing on the Monterey Peninsula.

From what I've seen on here he apparently likes four legged furry animals that reside in Mexico only...I think your GF is safe. Nuff Said!!!

Dash Doesn't Show Lower than 16 Deg F for Ambient Temp?

Yamaha doesn't realize there are complete maniac's that ride the FJR in sub 16 degree temps. Wow.

My 3D printed helmet lock solution

Oh I know. Which is why I said great fab job. Looks like a fun project. I just posted those locks for other members benefit since we're all don't have 3D printers. I just keep them in my glove compartment.
