    2014ES Side Cases modded/farkled

This post got me to remove those hideous side bag reflectors myself last night. They always looked like a afterthought from Yamaha to me. With the fishing line method it only takes 5 minutes to remove each one. A little mineral spirits to remove the residue and a quick wax/buff and the bags look...

    Gen 1 fork rebuild

You have a lot more guts (and ability) than me to mess with doing this by yourself. Looks like you did a real nice job. Thanks for taking the time to document your steps & post pix along the way.

    Pilot Road 4's are here

+1 That was the main point to my post #29 above.

    Accelerator Module by Solid Solutions

Curious in it myself. I have no throttle issues per se but wouldn't mind a bit more throttle response & a few more MPG's.

    Pilot Road 4's are here

I have previously lost faith in the PR3 hype. I get more mileage out of a set of PR2's despite Michelin's claim that the PR3's will give you "30% more wear longevity" over the PR2. In my real world test of both tire designs that simply was not true for me (others might get different results...

Farkle a '14ES with carbon fiber weave textured vinyl

I like that! Looks really nice. What is so nice about the new 2014 design and red color is that it really appeals to the sportier side of things. This 2014 model looks more like a big, fast, sexy sportbike than any other FJR up to this point. If you would have gotten the Two Brothers Black...

    Playin' with Photoshop

Here is my take on it. More photographic and less special effects....it is fun to mess with images however!

    Hiking for Societal Escapism

I have no idea. I'm a hiker but I'm no botanist. lol My wife actually pointed that out to me as we were hiking around an exposed ledge. It looks translucent because that's frozen ice on it. Made for a nice contrast.

    Hiking for Societal Escapism

A non RR...RR. In my constant pursuit of life simplicity and escaping the relentless insanity of modern life stresses and societal idiocy me & my wife took a 3-day trip to the mountains over Thanksgiving. Our kids were on vacation and with their other "part time" parents so we took leave to get...

    New Yamaha Bolt

I just saw this bike for the first time last week in person at a local dealership. The dealer says it's their best selling bike right now! I can see why. It's at a low price point and most people can afford it, it has that badass custom bobber or sportster look and it's a Yamaha. And as...

    Riding in December

Nice! Covered bridges are always a cool stop to ride to. I think MO is supposed to get some snow/ice soon. Good that you snuck a ride in!

2014 Availablility and Price D&H Cycles

I sat on the red 2014 ES in Lawrenceville, GA this weekend at this Dealership. (metro Atlanta) They had a new unsold 2012, a 2013 & this new 2014 on the floor. In fact they have every freaking Yamaha motorcycle inside. It was the best Yamaha floorplan under one roof I've ever seen. The 2014 ES...

    Another sunny day in Arizona

My sack just shriveled up looking at those cold ass riding pictures! Def not what I think of when I think of AZ. lol

    Making the Plunge

This is why I have no desire to purchase any Ducati's, Moto Guzzi's, BMW...etc bikes. They look sexy on the showroom floor, but the initial cost & more importantly the reliability & repair/parts cost just don't make any sense to me. I've looked at all those Rider Hill bikes and always walk away...

    An American Junkyard

+1 Thx. No prob. Yep for sure! I feel the same. Need some major elbow grease to shine up most of these things! It really is. Glad you enjoyed them. I saw that...but had just eaten a few hours earlier or I might of went across the street and gave it a try. I would imagine that they...
