    Dragging feet

If your draggin your feet, your not on the balls of your foot. It should be ridden like a sportbike, If your in a turn , you shouldne be shifting so you should be on the balls of your feet adn your peg would hit before your feet do. I have big feet alos. but I have never touched a foot since I...

I teach on base and we dont have training bikes, So we ride what you have. We as a militarty base have a different set of rules as far as that goes. ERC and BRC are on your own bikes.

To change color, or not to change colors - that is the question

if I ever get the chance to repaint mine, You can bet it wont be black, Or any other factory FJR color for that matter. Why look like everyone else? These bikes are very limited in colors. Personally I love silver, but I would not paint my bike silver just becasue yamaha already used silver.

Started the process of considering an FJR

I made the same transition, The bandit 1250 has serious issues with erratic power. I would come in really strong even with little input, Sometimes it went the other way. I neve got comfoprtable on the 1250 ( 9 months and 10K miles) as for the other bikes you mentioned. My brother in law has the...

    Tinted windscreen for gen 1

My stocker looks like death, Would like to see if anyone had a tinted windscreen laying around for a 2005 before I purchase a new one. Stock height is fine. I live in the south ( alabama) so I dont need much cold air protection. [email protected]

    Concourse or FJR

The connie lower fairing could be modified very easily so you didnt have to remove it to change the oil. I rode mine way too much to go thru removing the fairing to change the oil. it was a hot machine in the summer. Bad head wobble in dirty air. Odd dated tire size make then tire chioces very...

    Question on greasy brand-new tires

I use a good degreaser on the tires once they are mounted to clean some of the goo off. Then just ride conservatively fro the first 50 miles or so.

IS an 05 FJR with 30k a good buy

I disagree about the ABS, I have it on my bike and for the most part I dont care for it. I am going to install a switch so I can turn it off. I bought my 2005 about a year ago with 4500 miles for $8k I would thinlk with the extra miles it should be near the $6k range

    abs

Dies anyone else here feel their ABS comes on too soon? I know I have more braking potential there, But the ABS kicks in too early for my taste.
