I found some bicycle tools to help with my Timken roller bearing installation. Might be old trick for some and hopefully benificial to others. I bought them from www.ebikeshop.com. Cup remover is part # 004-TL7123, cup press is part # 004-TL8275.
Cup (or race) removal tool is in the center...
I sell Mack, Volvo & International trucks and have done so for (20) years. Trust me, NOTHING good can happen to you around a big rig on the highway. Twist the wrist and get the hell away!
I went with the Timken ILO All Balls bearings. As ken said, 32006X is the part number. I'm in the process of installing them as we speak (or type..........).
Upgrading the brakes with the killer Galfer GB, so what the hell........might as well swap the bearings. As an aside, my bike...
Mine fit like a charm. While others have reported rubbing issues during deep lean angle on the right side, I've had no such issues with my fat a$$, although my bike has GP Suspension forks and a Penske shock.
I'll assume you have a PCIII (if not, get one NOW). I have the combination Wally...
I'm all in. Thanks Warchild and all for putting this together. I asked the vendor about the complete SS line kit from Galfer (part # FK003D605C) for an '06 ABS and awaiting their reply.
Going all the way!
OK, I'm all in on the Galfer GB...thanks Dale and all for your work in setting this up. I realize that a full set of SS brake lines for an '06 ABS are not available through the GB, but are they available anywhere? Galfer's website show a part number for SS brake lines for a Gen II ABS bike...
I'm using the Touratech hardwire kit, which does not have this lead............problem solved and installation is super neat. All routed through Starrcomm Advance mounted under seat.
Here's the link; https://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/show.lasso?sku=GC12V26
BTW, I didn't use the in-line fuse...
Here's my set-up. Very pleased with it. Almost looks factory, which is obviously what I wanted. I'm not a big fan of a cockpit that looks cluttered or "too busy".
All factory gauges and Garmin are clearly visible when riding. I've since moved my GXM antenna to the clutch fluid cap, via...
The adventure riding bug got me about a year ago and I tried to ignore it. I came across this bike about a month ago and decided to buy a new one and build it like this. Then, the bike goes up for sale, and it's about 80 miles from my house. The planets are aligned.........time to strike...
Might as well........all my other free-loading buddies stop by! Funny how they can always carry their new tires with them, but leave the shiite behind. I gotta find a dumpster.
The No Mar takes a little getting used to, but after using mine 4-6 times and re-watching the DVD (for techinque reinforcement), I can now change a tire in about 3-5 minutes. Piece of cake and glad I bought mine.
If another member might be interested in finding such a deal...........where might one look at?
Fencer.........I'm seriously in the market for that exact bike. Where did you find it and are more...available?
I've been to the Atlanta show for the last few years and was always thrilled. The Houston show was about 1/5 the size of the Atlanta show from last year. Lots of models (bikes that is) missing. I drove from Memphis to look at a KTM Super Enduro and the BMW HP2, and neither were there!
I'll bite...........! A couple of pics from my August ride from Memphis to Nova Scotia, via byways.
Taking a break on Mt Mitchell, off the BRP.
Getting close to Cape Breton, NS.

The ADV bug got me too. I'm selling my CRF450X for either a 950 Super Enduro or 990 Adventure. In fact, I'm making the 600 mile trek to Houston next week-end to get a close-up on these bikes........maybe even sneak a peak at the HP2. Smitty, keep us wannabes updated on your farkles for the KTM.
I have the full Muzzy system with carbon fiber pipe. I'd say it's about 20 lbs lighter than stock, no cat (less heat) and looks and sounds awesome. Louder than stock for sure, but not to the point that it's annoying. I would say very similar noise level as my stock 2000 R1.
Some have...
What are the "hot wiring instructions"? I'm leaving next Saturday for a (2) week solo trip to Nova Scotia..............better educate myself now!
Thanks.
First off...............THANKS TCFJR for putting this together.
Now my problem. I have a 2730 and followed the instructions (POI Loader, created folder, etc, etc). I transferred the POI file to my unit and I get a confirmation message, but can't find the POI on my unit. I go to tool...
