Parts For Sale Givi 40L Topcase

Same for me or I'd be all over it. Shipping is damn expensive.

Is The FJR1300 Dead? No 2025 Model?

I heard the '25 FJR will look like the '24 but it will have a cord coming out of the back. With an electrical plug.

    Pay It Forward

My Givi monokey top case died today. I like everything about yours except . . . "must pick up." Oh well, it would cost a fortune to ship anyway.

    Scotch or Bourbon?

Those sound like 'em, Baron S. But when the garnish costs more than the spirits, time for me to find a new cocktail!

Found 6 hole covers for my 2014 FJR

Garauld's out of the painting business, but you could get them matched easily enough.

    Scotch or Bourbon?

I'm with you about the Macallan, Simon. It took off a few years ago, at least the Costco pricing did. The 12 year Macallan double cask has been $84 and change in Costco with absolutely no fluctuation for at least the last couple years. Anyway, I like most of the single malts in different ways...

    Yellow Outrigger Lights

I've got Darlas mounted on the forks and one Krista under one mirror and one Erica under the other (at Glenn's suggestion when I bought them--the one on the right side has a wider beam for lighting up the verge on the roadside, the left throws a narrower beam farther downrange.) They're plenty...

    New member

Welcome Bill. Quite a few Brits here--in fact a couple new ones posting just today. New bike or just finding us? What year is it? (Your bike, I mean. I already know what year it is.)

    Hello

Welcome, Crystal. Too much power, I suppose? JK, but if you say more about the issue somebody will be sure to come along with suggestions.

    The Why Not 2024

The part about next year's Why Not is good to hear, JP. The other part is tougher to hear. Taking on what you two have done gets you automatic entry to heaven, but not too soon I hope. And I hope to make it up to Baker City in '25. That's right near the limit of how far I'll be willing to go...

    Side Case Protection

I'm looking for a couple ideas for protecting the tops of my side cases from scratches. Well, to cover up the scratches I already put on the tops of my side cases, okay? But also protect them from further damage. I found some online that would probably be fine, but thought I'd ask if anybody...

    Reuben Run #10

Couldn't help but click on this one--nice ride down memory lane with old friends. And THIS memory lane has lots of twisties and great views. A friendly nod to everybody who posted on this thread and everybody I met at all those Reuben Runs!

Any recommendations for a non-slip mesh seat cover?

I thought of the same thing George said as soon as I started to read your post, but reupholstering a Laam seat? Sacrilege. I know it's banned in the NFL but maybe you can still get some of that Stickum they used to put on their hands. Just rub it on your ass.

Time for a Dog Pile on Monday!

It's the best thing you've posted in years, Simon. Not the news part (too bad), but for getting Old Michael off the couch to type a reply! Gotta say, the long rides are more and more of a challenge. A 300-mile day is a LONG day so the out-of-state rallies may all be in the past for me. The...

Difficulty starting with a warm engine

I don't know why I even start reading these real technical threads. Sometimes when guys like Ross Kean and escapefjrtist get all deep in their diagnoses, I just don't understand what they're all talking about. It's like, you know, Greek to me. Um, good luck though.

    RIP marcusorelius

Very sorry to read this, Doug. We met several times, and always with his little friend in that tricked-out side case dog carrier. Duke impressed me with how eagerly he'd run up when it was time to take off--almost climbed into the side case by himself! I've thought of Mark and his set-up many...

Parts Wanted Cobalt blue top box

Garauld (on the forum) in central NY State can paint something like that, and for less shipping cost, you can send him just the lid cover.

    Aux Lights

There are less expensive ones all right, but for outstanding quality and durability (and customer support), spend the money and get Clearwater Glendas mounted on your forks. And definitely get the amber lens covers. They're incredibly conspicuous in the heaviest traffic.

Does anyone ride between 6-7k rpm's?

How is mileage affected at those revs?

    Slider Recommendations

What's the best kind of slider? Or are they really worth much at all? I don't want to mount an engine guard on my new bike, but do these little things really help in a drop? Will they protect the mirror(s) or the fragile bracket/stay that supports it? Why do you like--or not--what you have...
