How much income do you need to retire?

Great points mentioned so far and I will probably repeat a few and maybe add a new one. The question was how much do you need to retire. To come up with that number is actually easier than you think. Add up you monthly expenses, your want and or need to do list, your projected expenses ie...

Would you buy a 07 with 63K miles

If the farkles are something that you would buy then they are a value to you. Cruise control(if you do alot of slab) is great. The heli bar triple tree can be a game saver if you can't adjust to the stretch to the bars. Sometimes looking at only the mileage is not the best measure of the value...

Does anyone NOT like their Russell Day-Long seat? 60 day ride coming this fall.

I wouldn't wait till just before your trip to get the seat done as even with a ride in there may need to be some adjustments done and you don't want to be breaking in the seat on your trip. I had a russell and loved it but I had to send it back for an adjustment. Not hijacking the topic but I...

    Help me choose please

I hate to say it but this is easy. In 2013 Yamaha made the perfect bike with the addition of the traction control and cruise. If you are going to do lots of highway miles there is no substitute for real cruise control. 12,900 is too much for a used 2013 especially in January. You answered...

FJR to a Vstrom 650 anyone?

I will not be riding off road. I did not consider the naked sv650 because it would seem to be too close to the street triple that I have.

FJR to a Vstrom 650 anyone?

I sold my fjr and now I am thinking that I would like to get a 650 vstrom because it is a lighter bike, has great reviews, and hopefully a suspension that will absorb the bumps and not transfer them to the rider. Yet still be able to do 500 mile days, day after day. Anyone? I am also looking...

2014 Availablility and Price D&H Cycles

I agree with topgear that a fly n ride is not such a bad thing nor should it be considered an expense. It is another ride/adventure. An expense to me is having a bike shipped and trying to work that fee into the price of a bike. Reference another statement about used cars being the main...

2003 FJR from 2009 Street Triple

I went from a 2006 fjr to a 2013 street triple r. Love the str. Loved the fjr and will probably get another. I just needed a break to a much lighter bike and the str is a blast. You will enjoy the fjr. good luck with your purchase.
