I got home Monday about 11:00am. Great trip, great weather, Kansas was not as bad as usual, met and talked to a couple other FJR riders at Moonshine and at the Comfort Inn in Casey. This was my second Moonshine run and plan to do it again!!!

I have not ridden my FJR up, but have my previous V-Strom and would not hesitate to take the FJR up if I make the trip again on a bike. It's a GREAT experience!!

I just returned from a 2400 mile trip with my large CalSci (as recommended by Mark). It was okay when I left for the trip and the temp was 34 degrees, but by the time I got down into TX and warmer weather, it was just too much screen. I ran with it all the way down and still could not get...

What color top box do you need? I'm planning to remove/sell the one I have on my black '08.

That's nothing unusual. Many stealers have never even seen a ST and this goes back to the 1990 time frame when the ST1100 was introduced. I bought my first one in April of '91 shortly after the silver was introduced (the early '91's were black).

Nothing significant. First year (2003) only had the electric windscreen on the ABS model, but later it became standard on all models. The ST1300 and the ST1100 were/are great bikes, but I'm happier with the FJR than I ever was with my ST1300. I owned several ST1100's and I still prefer them...

My new windscreen arrived today and I installed it this evening. Looks very good and fits perfect. Too soon to tell how the size is going to work. I'll try to get a ride in in the next couple days to see how it works out. If you still want to see it, PM me for contact info and we can set...

I should have it Tuesday of next week. I'll probably mount it that same day or the next. You are more than welcome to come by and take a look at it before you buy. As for riding thru WY in the wind - not sure if anything would help short of riding in the cage!!! :unsure:

Okay - called and talked to Mark. I was right in the middle of needing a medium or a large, but he recommended the large due to where I live. Hopefully it will work out and I will not have to return it for the medium. Thanks all for the input!

After a year+ of FJR ownership, I've pretty well decided it's time for an aftermarket windscreen and the CalSci is my top choice. Been looking on line and the forum, but all I have found is the actual manufacturer's link as a source. Are they also sold through on-line part and accessory...
