    Vista Cruise Problems.

Oh geez, this is not the thread I wanted to see the night before I'm installing both the G2 and VC. :stop: (Ok, let me rephrase that... before my super-duper mechanic and friend installs them while I hold his Diet Coke and say "yeah, sure, I follow you completely".) I'm not really seeing a...

    Pediatric Brain Tumor foundation

HUGE +1 for this foundation and their efforts. Having lost a 7 year old brother to a brain tumor, I can't say or do enough for the PBTF. I plan to visit the Asheville HQ during my upcoming East Coast jaunt in May. Thank you for posting this information. AGirl

    Headlight modulator

I'll also add that the importance of a HM for me is not only for being seen by other drivers but by animals. Deer respond to two things... noise and FLASHING light. I can recall multiple personal experiences where the HM was a significant factor; they are grazing roadside, hear the sound of the...

    Headlight modulator

DOT regulations strictly prohibit modulator use at night even if momentarily. Ditto for Canada. AGirl

    Headlight modulator

+1 for using a HM FWIW, I personally will not own a bike w/o one. Too little experience w/Kissan to feel comfortable providing feedback. AGirl

    AGirl's 2007A: 5 wks of ownership, 5,500 miles

IMHO, you're only crazy if you don't try. Yes, the sign you ask about speaks the truth. It is my understanding that if you drive it then you don't need to show the title; if you bring it (tow/haul) then you DO need the title.... so, if you ride your bike across you're ok, if you...

    GenMar Handelbar risers

Per "Scott" at Gen-Mar (505-743-2243 or 877-471-7515): "Limited qty in stock, currently shipping immediately, $89.99, 1" up, 1/2" back" AGirl

    Heading to Key West Tomorrow

Best wishes on a safe and enjoyable ride. The warning signs a/b the Key Deer are no joke... take heed and keep your eyes peeled in that section. AGirl

    AGirl's 2007A: 5 wks of ownership, 5,500 miles

Thanks, Midlifefjr. To answer your questions... auxillary lights are fork mounted MotoLights, mirrors are OEM FZ1 mirrors, and GPS is Garmin 2610. Hope your farkling future is bright! :) AGirl

    AGirl's 2007A: 5 wks of ownership, 5,500 miles

Unfortunately (or fortunately!) at that time I'll be Alaska-bound. Thanks for the feedback.... glad folks enjoy the reports. I actually just finished editing the Palomar & Pie! report to include more pics. If you want to see a super cool photographic mosaic of just how sweet Palomar Mtn's South...

When the passing lane needs a passing lane....

When the passing lane needs a passing lane.... Maybe one day I'll write a report a/b it (2007 Benelli TNT Cafe Racer 1130)... gotta love the contrast of the bling-bling Benelli and the bling-less functional A-suit, huh? AGirl

    Reflective material on helmets

Yes, I am aware of this (certain states requiring relectivity on helmet). I have personally never been stopped for this since I keep something reflective on my helmets anyway for safety and not b/c it's law. IIRC, a friend of a friend was stopped in MD for another reason and was given a warning...

    AGirl's 2007A: 5 wks of ownership, 5,500 miles

Very pleased w/the new bike sans the life of the rear OEM Bridgestone tire (4k). Here are a few reports of the first 5,500 miles w/my FJR: A Run for the Border... and a Stamp! Palomar Mountain & Pie The "F-A-R" Journey AGirl

Worried about dropping the new FJR

I respectfully disagree w/removing the bags.... unless you spend most of your time riding without them. I just returned from my 2 hour class tonight, where I attend every week fully loaded as if I'm on a multi-day ride since I'm interested in learning the limits of the bike in the conditions...

Worried about dropping the new FJR

I'm currently in a 12 hour (2hrs/wk for 6 wks) Skill Improvement class myself w/my 07. I always make it a point to take a class whenever I get a new ride since it provides a great opportunity to bond w/the bike and become more familiar w/its limits in a controlled environment as well as correct...

    BBG to Jacksonville

Don't know if you'll get this in time, but.... **HEAVY** LEO presence last week I-10 near BR, LA and again near Van Horn, TX (strangely Ft. Stockton was clear). I thought my V1 might start smoking after the duty it pulled. Best wishes for a safe journey. AGirl

    Additional Travel Storage

Another option: HERE .....the chick knows how to pack! :yes2: Seriously, she's got good stuff. I'd recommend ROK-Straps over the bungees. AGirl

    Helmet for oval shaped head

Rick, I'd recommend the Caberg Justissimo for oval heads in the Flip flavor. Internal sun visor and anti-fog score big points for LD miles w/me. +1 also for Scorpion EXO-400.. I've got over 100k on 'em and think they are just super (anti-fog and anti-scratch visors are the cat's ass)...

Looking for input on tank bag

FWIW, I would absolutely :excl: **NOT** :excl: recommend the TT tank bag that you are referring to (Engage Bags Connection). I had this bag on my DL1000 last year in which I put on 56,000 miles (yes, in a year). Because I was on the road and had already wired up the bag and integrated many...

    F R O Z E N !

+1 for HEAT!! I'd imagine riding in 16 degrees at 70mph for hours is not fun :cold: ... but w/heat I was just fine. +1 for Gerbing I'm fixin' to sell a pair of Gerbing G3 gloves size Large (new in package) if you're interested. AGirl
