2007 Headshake on Deceleration/Noise in Forks?

You mean like it's a bit harder to wheelie? :P FWIW, I don't notice any difference in the headshake w/different tire pressures, topcase on/off, sidecases on/off or full/empty. Hopefully I'll get this figured out here shortly though w/my tech (& best damn mechanic ever), Jim. AGirl

    D & H Cycle experience

Tim, FWIW, I just bought my 07 there and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend D&H to anyone (and I avoid stealerships like the plague). :clapping: If you'd like to see exactly where you're going and who you're dealing with I wrote a full report on my experience obtaining my FJR that can be...

2007 Headshake on Deceleration/Noise in Forks?

Sorry if I didn't make my post clear, but my wobble is felt w/o even letting go of the handlebars AND I experienced the wobble right out of the gate, er, crate; pinning this issue on tire wear wouldn't be my top hypothesis. AGirl

Using windshield retract as 12v source on 2007

Don't know if you found your answer yet but I've got the new 2007 Service Manual and would be glad to help if needed. AGirl

    problems with 07 model

Can you (or someone else) please explain in more detail this tension issue and throttle spring thing since 1)I don't hang out here often, 2)Search is not my friend, but you might be, and 3)I just came off a 1200 mile day wearing winter gloves and have no complaints... BUT, maybe there's...

2007 Headshake on Deceleration/Noise in Forks?

Wingman, I feel your wobblin' pain.... FWIW, my 07 has B-stones, has 3,000 miles (but counting fast), has the wobble symptoms you describe though mine is apparent WITHOUT removing hands from bars, and has a date w/my head-master-mechanic since I'm now back in town since sumthin' ain't right...

Can you see me now? (Mirrors on my 07)

FZ1 (2001-2005) mirror versus stock: Thanks to D&H Cycle, test rode one side FZ1 and one side OEM... sold! WOW, what an improvement!! :clapping: I'm a rider - - I couldn't give a rats ass a/b what they look like... I leave such concerns to owners to fret about. Whoever posted the FZ1...

Anyone wanna play Name That Wire! (2007A, right of dash)

No... that's what the 2nd "not" is I poorly described above. Next contestant...... Um, ah, well.. the source is Yamaha... Nick at D&H Cycle spoke w/ Yamaha directly about this little mystery... confirmed *NOT* the temperature sensor.

Anyone wanna play Name That Wire! (2007A, right of dash)

What is this connector for? (Bike is 2007A, mystery item is located on right side of dash) Sources say it's *not* for heated grips nor sensor related to thermometer (temp reading on dash) AGirl

    FJR Tank Bag

Greetings Diane, I feel your newbie pain with the search function, especially in regards to your need to acquire information about a tank bag ("bag" being a less-than-4 letters illegal search word). FWIW, I can recommend the Nelson Rigg CL-350 as a fine magnetic tank bag; high functionality...

Can you see me now? (Mirrors on my 07)

Yes, I'm new 'round here so for those of you who have more total posts on the forum than some of us FNG's (Fantastic New Girls?) have miles on our bikes please keep in mind that 1)Search is not always FNG friendly and 2) neither are some of the responses. Remember, there was a time when you...

Function of plastic thinggys under passenger seat??

My thought exactly... my first post in FJRville here went into off-topic never never land and I'd like to focus on the thinggy if possible. I highly considered doing the same but was concerned w/a viable weather seal. What did you use, v65, to whack the thinggy and put in it's special place...

Function of plastic thinggys under passenger seat??

Grasshoppertte is trying to think in sport-touring and Yama-terms and indeed missing the bigger picture... o, THAT u-lock.. the one everyone lugs under the seat taking up valuable real estate? So, I'm a Gen II Grasshopperette... got it. ;) AGirl

    high mileage ?

An aquaintance of mine has an 03 FJR w/118k miles - - one of my very best friends has been the mechanic for the bike since day 1. Can't give you specifics at the moment (I'm out of town) but I do know the bike has had minimal trouble. AGirl

Function of plastic thinggys under passenger seat??

Yup, I missed reading the 03-05 BOF facts since I own an 07... and my printed out and carry-at-all-times BOF for the 06 doesn't mention #1. :P That said, what is a U-Lock?? (searching "U-Lock returned 1000+ answers, none of which were helpful). While I'm at it, might you clarify what...

Function of plastic thinggys under passenger seat??

Doing a "Search" for an answer hasn't proved successful so... Just curious at this point since I'm using the space for the power block, but what was Yamaha's intended use for the plastic/area where yellow arrows are pointing? (on a 2007A). Looks like a specific fit for something but I don't...
