    Aluminum brazing

It's going to one tommorrow, but I thought this looked like a good product to have in the shop for all the rest of those pesky aluminum items on the bike and around the house.

    Aluminum brazing

In light of my recent thermostat and radiator woes, I found this stuff online https://muggyweld.com/alloy-5/super-alloy-5-starter-kit-3-32 Has anyone had any experience with this? The video of the application looks fantastic but looks can be deceiving. $60 is a whole lot better than $350 for a...

    Thermostat housing leak

Thanks Scooter, and yes, the GENII and Gen I's are in totally different spots. I wish mine was just under the rad cap. I read the post on your leak shortly after posting myself. I've got it in the same spot you had. Right along the seam of the housing. Only way I could actually see it was...

    Thermostat housing leak

Been absent from this place for quite some time.....:-( Work just seems to always get in the way....that and we bought a travel trailer.....but I digress. So I started it up the beast the other day (after it sat for over two months....long winter) and I noticed steam rising from around the...

    SaddleSore 1000 question

10-4.............traffic in that city sucks pretty much all the time. Traffic during daylight.....and endless construction at night. Not to mention an accident. Then you've got every damn rubbernecker stopping for a looksie.....bloody Canadians and their morbid curiosity. That "Timmy's" coffee...

    Rumour, Rumour, Rumour

Perhaps I can throw together a list of all the cool little spots I found while routing the last two UpperCan400 rallies.....folks can add it to their travel plans and get a much better look at what Southern Ontario has to offer while en-route to Huntsville!!........I might even organize one for...

Port Dover This Friday the 13th?

+2 on that.......Only went to Dover once on the 13th, and that was to hang with CanadianFJR and meet a few of the forum crew last year. Having "been there done that" now my interest has waned..... Port Stanley also has a great perch lunch at the "Inn on the Harbour".

    Going to the Dark Side

I modified mine this way.......Got the idea from Brodie. Figure if you mounted it to the outside you'd need to grind it a bit anyways....this stays in the stock location and has more than enough meat on it. Zero clearance issues over 35K.

Walk It Off -Spinal Cord Research

Some of you may remember the Uppercan400 Moto Rally I organized this year (and the year before). One of the benefactors of this rally is Walk It Off. This is a Spinal Cord injury recovery center start up which Kevin and Heather initiated. (Kevin is the reason I organized this rally) They have...

    NERDS LOVE IN

I was merely a Videographer that night.................Felt like I was one of those dudes filming wildlife for an upcoming episode of Animal Planet on Discovery. You're the one that had all the fun....................I'm scarred for life.

You're bleeding & the nearest hospital isn't near at all

Canadians have the same standard (for the general public) However, the reality of the situation is this. Most people are afraid to do anything if they come across (or witness) a VSA patient.....even if they have taken a "course". I think a great deal of that fear stems from the thought "what if...

Added a trailer to the stable

I saw your hitch when we rode the 6 gaps. It looked great and you did a fine job building it....well done!! Do you happen to have the dimensions for the support bars you made? I am going to build one this winter! Mattster

You're bleeding & the nearest hospital isn't near at all

great advice!! LOL MEM, I personally just carry a few 4X4's (not the lumber haha) a couple rolls of cling wrap, bandaids, wet tape (sticks to wet skin) and a couple of triangular bandages (which can be used for everything). I don't bother with the CPR face shield. Studies have shown that the...
