    Comments on the Auto Shift?

As a proud owner of an AE, I can say the AE has spoiled me immensely. I have obviously gotten very well at riding it because I don't notice any sudden lurches or rough gear changes, nor do I have any issues with low speed manuevers. I said my AE has spoiled me because my wife rides the A and...

Oh, I'm sure the split vacuum hose was the problem. Let me know how it goes after the TEST ride. Now see, that's what I call a harmonious couple ;)

No problem, I'll keep up with you on this. Let me know if you find the problem before we talk again.

I would check the fuse and the 20K OHM resistor next to ensure they're good. If so, the problem is sure to be at the vacuum hoses, check valves, etc. or the servo itself.

Audiovox CC ... had to happen..

A friend had an issue where the LED responded at the servo but his CC would not SETwhen he worked his switches. When he opened up the control box, the green wire had seperated from the toggle switch post. He re-soldered it and regained the ability to SET.

But before pulling the tank, make sure one of your wires hasn't come loose at the switches.

Audiovox CC ... had to happen..

I have had the same issues sparatically. When I pulled the vacuum hose from the servo, it had a sucking sound like there is suction, but something somewhere, either in the servo or along the vacuum line through the canister to the throttle bodies was clogged. I tried sucking and blowing through...

In an effort to assist, do you have electrical? If you're using the included control pad, does it light up?

    Removing the fuel rail

I'm sure you know because you've read, but those screws holding the fuel rail down are TIGHT! Use an impact driver to remove them! I didn't remove mine and because I have long hands, I found the telescopic magnet tool worth it's weight in gold on getting that small screw, ball chain and nut...

Now that guy had balls! I WOULD NOT try an install outside of my shop, let alone a hotel foyer. That's way outside my comfort range.

    OK, I feel STUPID!!!

Funny you should mention that "Cluch thing" Mike. On one of my button-ups, I went to start the FJR up, pushed the starter button and nothing. I was like "Oh my God, what else have I screwed up, because it was starting?" Figuring I must have forgot to plug something back up, I started tearing...

    OK, I feel STUPID!!!

Honestly r1byker, the install is pretty straight forward as far as the instructions from the many members on this forum. It really wasn't hard at all. I'm pretty good at following instructions. It's those little things like being heavy-handed and pushing things to far or as I read on another...

    OK, I feel STUPID!!!

Well, after 2 1/2 days of installing and consistently not having cruise control, breaking down eight and buttoning up about nine times, I'm finally riding with cruise control. Whew! I'm wore out, but I didn't give up. I know this Audiovox Cruise Control on an FJR 1300AE like a pro now. Oh, by...

    Check Valve Question, AVCC Install

Greetings, I'm on vacation and doing the AVCC install this week. I have a question about the check valve installation. My check valve has no indicator arrow on it and I want to know which direction should air flow freely, toward the engine or toward the canister and servo? Thanks in...
