i need to know how a vacuum switch works on a bike, what voltage is required to make it operate and if it is the normaly open or closed. i am trying to start a vacuum pump with it once the vacuum in the tank is low. this will be used to operate an avcc on a bike that does not have any vacuum...

hi i am trying to put an avcc on my gf's 92 shadow. got most everything done but i am unsure of where to pic up the vaccum at, i have it off the top of one of the carbs where they go back into the head but i am not sure that is the right place. if i pull that line off the bike still...

i got 2 refurbs off ebay 6 weeks ago, got mine installed last week and works just fine, the gfs bike will have to wait till spring. paid 35 each, summit.com has new for 79. if anyone needs help in ne ohio or deals gap area let me know. jim

ok dont know if this will fix the avcc or not, its late and i have not hooked it back up yet but i can tell you....... that if you have an open circut in the brake wiring that the abs light on the dash will flash and the brake lights will stay on. how does that relate to the avcc install...

as per fjrcarshopguys instructions. we hooked up the the avcc brake wires to the tail light harness as discribed. ground from the avcc to the seat latch nut and ground from the handle bar control of the avcc unit to the bolt that hold the brake lines up on the steering stem. power is pulled...

hi, i just installed an avcc on my 08ae, the brake lights are on and the abs light is going off on the dash....what did i do wrong? jim

got the wind screen and the gps stuff straight, along with the electric crusie. still looking for and after market seat, heated or not, preferable a corbin or russle. also a top box, small arai corsair, heated gear (i am 5'10" 190LBS) and fork brace. jim

check ebay, i just bought an 08 off there in ga, just becarefull. yamaha is doing dealer auctions, in those actions are some scratch n dents that dealers have rejected over time. now yamaha is unloading all those bikes. i am pretty sure mine was one of those bikes. i got it for less then...

PS i am also looking for a RAM ball on the triple tree nut, seems there is no other place to mount the zumo on the AE's. jim

thanks to all that have worked this, i am going to stop by summit on the way home from the gfs next week and get a cc. think i got a handle on everything except where to mount it under the tank. i just got an 08 ae so any help on this and how to mount my zumo on this bike would be helpfull...
