2003 -126,000 miles. One loose exhaust valve @ 80K. Currently in the shop for a slipping clutch (likely a gear dog) Mechanic friend said the engine looks great for the miles. Maybe I'll get 200K. Ken

The Gravel only lasts 2.5 miles. Were you coming form the north (107) or the south (US64)? If you came from the north, you got the ride the better section of the road twice. If ya really want to scrape your pegs try Charley's Creek road. It goes over to 215. Seriously twitsy and good pavement. Ken

Folks, Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I fear I have the same problem, a worn gear dog. I'm not upset as the bike does have high mileage. My question: Where could I access information on "how to" repair this problem. Does anyone on this forum have experience with this? I cannot do this...
